Subject: Boerboel Breeders ? Really?

In searching for the Boerboel I would like to work with. I sent the following email to a number of "breeders" on the net. Some more well known than others. I asked simple questions that concern me as a long time dogman. I think they are straight forward and telling about the breeder (if they are honest). Out of 7 breeders I got one response (all had posted pups for sale). The one response I got was very timely and he answered all questions via phone head on and without hesitation. I included info about me and my program etc etc. To me this is very telling about what is out there posing as breeders. You tell me are the questions out of line?

my email verbatim (regarding the questions)
Questions
1. We would be interested in seeing pictures of your kennel facility
2. How long have you been breeding the Boerbel?
3. Do any of your dogs currently have working titles? Please elaborate on your method of "proving" your dogs worthiness for reproducing.
4. Please elaborate on your methods of choosing working/show dogs versus pet dogs.
5. Do any of your dogs actually work in any capacity?
6. specifically how are your dogs raised from whelping to time of delivery?
We feel this is of major import as the imprinting and socialization at this stage of development is crucial to a favorable outcome. (strictly our own opinion arrived at through years of working and living with dogs)
7. Please describe your feeding regimen
8. Would you be willing to share names and contact information from previous buyers of your dogs?
