The warrior mage sat there quietly in a dark corner of the tavern watching and listening to the others.
I looked over the newcomer, taking in the chain mail and no armor. She had the look of a fighter alright. Strong and tough. Then I looked at the merc standing there, eyes throwing out sparks of contemp for any cowards. She had the look of a hotheaded but experienced warrior.
I decided I'd just listen and watch to see what transpired. If help was needed I would be able to arrive in time.
