Rocket shrugged, as to say that life was like this and he was used to it. But his keen eyes never left the younger male's own, and in a way he could read the different emotions struggling inside him. By the end he could almost say that Traveller had started seeing things through his ages. Every of the foxes who fought had familiars and it was just not fair, for their familiars to loose someone they cared for. And then color _was_ the only difference, even if some just couldn't see that.
"Tawny now thrives on her own quest" he said earnestly when Traveller asked about his daughter. "She's somewhere out here, searching for a mate and cubs of her own. Maybe by the time this story is over, I'll have news of my grandchildren. Or maybe our paths will meet again. It's early to say."
He scratched one of his shaggy ears before adding "Anyway, that's not the only reason why I came. I have heard much about the animals of farthing wood and the fox who held them together. Apparently, his way to solve troubles is based on alliance and friendship just like mine. Guess I'll just wander around until I find him."
