Subject: Just saying hello

I just wanted to stick my head in and say hello. So here you go: "Hi, my name is John. Nice to meet you. Pleased to meet ya. How are you doing? Good to see you."

I met with Vincent a few days ago to make up a character for the Conan game and I'm hoping to play soon. I am scheduled to play D&D with my irregular group of gamers from work on Sunday, so I can't make it then, but soon, soon you should have a mysterious Zamorian in your midst. I'm leaning toward playing a smooth-talking, fast-moving, con artist kind of guy who can throw a mean dagger when he has to.

Just a bit about myself, I'm 36, work at The Republic, U.S. Navy veteran, married with a 6-year-old son and have been a gamer since 1981. I have mostly played fantasy games (D&D, AD&D, D&D3e, etc.) since that is the easiest genre to find players for. But my true love is super-hero games, followed by espionage. Try to find players for either of those, I dare ya.

Until I switched Internet providers a year or so ago, I (and a friend from Shelby County) maintained a 120+ page Web site outlining a super-hero city we called Liberty City, N.J. It started in Fuzion and the Hero System and was graduallly morphing into a Silver Age Sentinels site when I took it down. It needs a lot of tinkering (and SAS character generation) before I can feel comfortable putting it back up and I just haven't found the gumption to get it done.

Among my other addictions, I, of course, have too many comic books, action figures and role-playing games lying around the house and many of these fascinations I am busily passing on to the next generation.

Anyway, take care all and I'm hoping to sit in on a game soon.

John
