Caught offguard by the mare's pleasantries, the palomino hesitated before responding. The black vixen's name rang a bell with Tori ... hadn't there been a filly in the Queen tournement with the same name? Shaking away her musings, Tori slid her social mask into place, drawing on many years' worth of experience to guide her through this first encounter.

"Hello Deja. The name's Notorious Reputation, Tori to most. Thanks for the heads up on Annalee. I'll catch up with her once Adrian knows I'm here."

The gilded matriarch left out the part about her being a captive. Surely she stuck out like a sore thumb. The soon-to-be mother was accustomed to sunny beaches, not shadow-shrouded pieces of land. Shifting her growing weight from one leg to another, the sun-kissed golden sized up the bright-eyed ebony mare, her tone taking a lightly humorous tinge.

"Unless you can assuage the Rebels need for bloodshed and their intrinsic drive to divide and conquer, not to mention release myself and Annalee from captivity and offer the stability and promise of peace that said captivity ensures, I think your pleasant greeting will be quite enough."

A small smile touched the fading minx's velveteen lips. A nap was what she really needed. A nap and some good munchies. Smothering a sigh and resigning herself to neither sleeping nor eating until Adrian acknowledged her presence.

"On second thought, it would be lovely if you would send Adrian my way if you run across him."
