I think the difference is that at ImpOxBridge it's institutionalised, whereas at Cardiff/Sheffield/Reading/Bristol it's down to couples with either prior experience or a lot of initiative.

For example in Oxford there is an evening at the start of term where all the girls get together and the more experienced ones have a chat with the new ones about hair/make-up/tan/costumes. We try and get everyone together to watch some videos of dancing (both pros and university comps) so they have an idea what to expect and what to aspire to.

I think the key to turning one successful year into a successful club for the foreseeable future is to create structures that will survive when the individuals leave the club...
