My question is: why would a Pastor be present at an autopsy - is that even normal?

I have never believed the gun theory, nor the allegation that Holly was mentally disturbed - temporarily, or otherwise. Holly may have been stressed because of the breakup with The Crickets; the legal action to unfreeze royalty money, and also his married life, but I don't think it's anything he couldn't handle.

How would Jerry Dwyer have even known if Holly shot Roger Peterson? He wasn't on the plane, so that is only a supposition on his part. There is no mention of a gunshot wound in Peterson's autopsy report. You'd think if there was one, it would have been reported. This would have been a routine examination for Ralph Smiley, who would be reporting his findings impartially. I don't think he would have omitted something as major as a gunshot wound in his report.

There are many theories on why the plane crashed, but it doesn't change the end result. Four young blokes lost the lives that night, all had bright futures ahead of them.
