gold painted souls flicker across the lands, glossy surface rather dull and void. the actions of the others are inhaled, though the aroma was hardly sweet. whipcord taps the earth slightly, rather a habit created when she was thinking, processing a new chunk of information, much like a bone must slowly be chewed away at. gaze diverts itself to his own frozen pools once more, her respect now greatly soaring for this leader.
gnostic he was, very, but mostly from experience. experience was after allt he best way to learn. you could be told what path not to travel, and you could listen, but always you would be tempted to try the other path. now should you have refused to take heed int he beginning, you might have died on the foolish path, but if you lived, you were all the more better off. mistakes are as two faced as life, you can either gain from them, or be destroyed.
it was best to gain, but then again to even make a mistake chance had to be taken. you had to leap across the boiling pit of lava instead of constructing a bridge. were you willing to pay the price of possible miscalculations in your leap only so you could learn to jump better, or were you willing to cross safely without ever experiencing the bound?
well, she had yet to learn to live life to the fullest, for until now nothing had proven itself worthy to stay alive, no reason had presented itself. she merely tried to survive and just kept living day to day, a simple routine, and until now she had not understood why. well, did she really understand it now? she'd heard it all, but comprehending and listening were two different things. her petty life on this land was nothing compared to some. she had no great authority, no family no friends. what did she really have but the need to survive? was that all that was needed? their lives were simple constructions, mere pawn in the game of chess life and death constantly played.
Enchancee, you, the pups, me. we all value our lives more than they are worth, for we don't mind killing, while we all struggle to keep ourselves alive. any oppertunity that presents itself is grasped. if you were Enchancee, would you not beg for forgivness, or would you simply come marching in and act like nothing had happened? she plays the game well, or she had. now she's bitten off more then she can chew, and she is resorting to desperate attempts to save her skinny hide. would you not do the same in that position, assuming you were to fall in that pit? true enough you would no doubt not allow yourself to become what she has, but life is changing, always, and we can only win by adapting. i wondetr if she had not left, how things would have gone, but as always things changed. i wonder if Khastin had not died how these lands would have flourished. simple choices can bring downfall for some, and uprise for others. is it truely so bad Enchancee is now how she is? seeing the circumstances what would we have done should we plumemt into war with her as the leader? it is best she shows her ugly side before we must depend on her, and she has. you say you do not value your life, but if i were to attempt to kill you right now would you not figth back? surely for you need to live, but if there is no value for you why should you need to live? because you must? that is value, and that is one thing we all hold.
