DID...is a disorder that is like alot of people are using same body...i was reading a book call First person plural.
The author was suffured from DID...he had 23 personality within...they act differently..they talk diffrently ..they can even commuincate with each other...it is the most controversial and complicated disorder in psyc department..so is schizophreni ..so..the cause varies alot...mostly are compressed memory...like the book i just talked about...the author was caused by sexual abused by his grandmother and mother. He never remember it till DID occur and a 10 yrs old boy davy *one of his personality* appears...o yes...the age diffrents too..so does the gender...basicly they are a totaly different person...COMEPLETLY DIFFERENT....das how DID is..the treatment...medication..counseling..and if its worst..just like schizophrenic..it might required surgery...
and yes..patti boi is right...right now on TV, movies wut they describe of DID is mostly incorrect...not just DID..most of mental illness...and people tend to stereotype them..i think i will give out a survey later on..to see wut people tend to think of mental illness (its my proj.)...so i'll post the result

das all i know of DID...i will learn more after this semester cuz i'm talking abnormal psyc. so...=)
