WOW!!

I guess I'm the biggest nerd of the group since it looks like I might be the first to post on what I think was an outstanding "FAMILY" reunion. I was great to see everyone again. I still think the girls got the better end of the deal..all looked so wonderful... I want to thank all of you for the memories shared, and the memories kept alive. I would like to believe something a wise friend of mine once said.... "We grow older, but deep inside we never grow up"... Here's to that part of each of us....that part that remembers singing "Up a Lazy River", or doing the Marshall shuffle...remembers Canyon Lake band trips, and Battle of Flower parades,Band Banquets,AstroWorld, Pasedena and never forgets the first kiss, or the first love.

I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Yep, you're a nerd alright Mike, but that's what goes with bein brass.....

I want to thank ALL OF YOU for coming, and making it so great for each of us. There were LOTS of stories remembered, alright, and I was PLEASANTLY surprised to see Susan Pittman, my first "real" girlfriend even from back at Jr Hi at NEFF!!! Susan you are still just as pretty as you were in 7th grade.... just a wee bit older....LOL.

All the ladies DID look wonderful, and all the guys were fat and bald. Oh yeah, that was me, nevermind.

Let's all keep in touch, and keep this board alive!!!!

MORE STORIES still to be remembered, and new ones made....

Randy Duncan

Thanks to everyone responsible for making this Reunion another Immortal Ramband Moment. Special thanks to Robin Rogers, Jay Rogers, and Mark Stephens. Also, to Charlie Traeger and his band. Finally, need to thank Mr. Lewis and the Kuentz family for showing up, and making this weekend special. Also, thanks to everyone who showed up. Maybe we can make this a bi-annual event. God bless all of you and your families.

Diego

Thanks for being "nerdy," Mike, and sending me the photos from the reunion so fast! I will now open the bidding at $20 a photo...

I had a great time reconnecting with everyone on Friday and Saturday nights. It was so great to see how people have changed, and not changed (Mr. Lewis springs to mind). I've been staying with friends in Michigan, but as soon as I return home, I'll get back to work on the webpage and make more photos available. And also respond to my e-mail messages!

Take care, everybody!

I'm glad you guys are posting about the reunion. Since I wasn't there, I'm looking forward to hearing more about it. Are there pictures yet? (maybe they're already on the site, I just need to look further).

Sure wish I could have seen everybody...and would LOVE to have heard Charlie Traeger's band!

Who all was there?

? ?

I hope another reunion is planned before too long...

It's a shame you couldn't make it to the reunion, David. It was great fun! And there's another one planned for November, so maybe we'll see you then or at another future one.

Several people have sent me photos, and I have a couple of rolls to develop, too. As soon as I get settled in (just got back home on Saturday), I'll start uploading the pix for everyone to enjoy.

Totally a blast! Great to see everyone! Randy, if you invented the "The Ram Band, Thanks you Ma'm"... I am so proud of you...it was, well,.. famous!

Some of you must own time machines because you look like you stepped out of 1976 into 2003... where can I get one of thos things?

The drum section was well represented and continue to carry the rythm and the passion I remember to this very day... The cadence. Boom boom, dadda boom, didididi, didididi didididi. Boom boom, dadda boom.....

Mike Swim.. Inscrutable as ever.
Mike Groves... What a mover! Love will come to you:)
Robin Rogers- Thank you so much for what you said about my music... correspond as often as you can.
Alan Valentine knows that wrinkles do truly come from smiling infectiously! What a happy man!
Alan Brister.. Bro.... did you make it home?
Kathy Meeks... My twin sister! We should talk more... and you know it!:)
Pat T... we gotta stop meeting like this...
Sue Burg-Kuentz... Delighful to get a chance to talk with you.
Ricky... It was great to see you and the rest of the Horn section!
Cheryl, my home girl, litterally:)
Mark, don't people grow old in your family?
Gary K... You are obviously on the right path.
Diego Pena.. so gregarious!

More later.

".. I thought it was a lovely story... and you tell it so well!"

I wish I COULD take credit for that line, but at least I think I INSPIRED it. It was written especially for me, and with only a day to rehearse, I pulled it off.

I had SO MUCH fun with all yall, and all this weekend kept thinking, "last weekend at this time, I was jamming and recording with the boys", or "last week at this time Kathy still wont let me pay for a beer", and "last week at this time I was laughing with Frank". What great NEW memories.

No, Mike, you're not a nerd for responding first, maybe just the first one home from the party....? What time DID you get home Saturday night? It took me a WEEK. That can't be right.... that I got home before one of The Cool Guys From The Back Of The Band Hall?! It sure didn't seem like things had changed THAT much -- if at all!

And yes, Randy, if ever ANYONE inspired that line, it was Your Fabulous Self -- no one could POSSIBLY be better suited to deliver it!

What a GREAT weekend! Looking forward to the next one!!!

Uh, make that "That can't be right.... that I got home AFTER one of The Cool Guys From The Back Of The Band Hall." The long trip back to Vermont obviously caught up with me when I wrote that!
