But what if this doesn't solve the problem? Yes, there is a teenager/hangout problem. But I don't see them shooting ball much when in the vicinity. So, the next move from our board will likely involve some kind of gate pass or mechanical drop arm to block them out of the parking lot. After the security cameras, that's likely the board's next move. Throw more money at it. Then we'll have repairs when it breaks and complaints when legitimate homeowners can't get in to the pool area. If they gate it, our trespassers will either park on the street or drive around it. What then? Fill in the pools with dirt? Laser detection devices? Security? Become a gated community? I don't like that teens are hanging out in our pool area. But if the board thinks silly countermeasures, and the expenditures required, will solve the issue, they're wrong. As for the Board removing the goals with no notice to homeowners, it might be time for transparency.
