Hi Sheila,
The chronological timeline confused me as well but once I was in the middle of the play I got the hang of it. I thought it was really interesting that Hwang was going back and forth in time to get the story of Gallimard and Song across to the audience, especially towards the end of the play when Song begins to interrupt his monologues with opinions of his own. The interruption of Gallimard's monologues was interesting in those scenes. You weren't alone, it's a confusing play since it isn't linear. See you in class.
