Darren immediately launches into him knocking him down with the unexpectancy. Ryan grabs him by the throat but he pulls out a set of keys from his pocket and rams it into Ryan’s face causing Ryan to roar in pain. Jamie grabs Thalia by the hand and warns the others to run for their lives THALIA Whats… JAMIE Just follow me and don’t talk (to Darren) Leave him! Darren looks around for resources, clearly he is scared. He spots the last passenger climb out of what’s left of the plane. **FLASH TO WHITE** Ten minutes earlier JAMIE Don’t hold back DARREN But… JAMIE You can’t kill him, it’s physically impossible by all standards to kill him in demon form **FLASH BACK TO NOW** Darren sprints and leaps over the top of the “luggage cart” that Ryan has hurled on the runway. On his way over he grabs a yellow bottle that’s tied to the back. Ryan follows him as he jumps through a hole in the plane. Darren pulls out his keys and stabs them into the bottle, petrol falling everywhere as he grins and smashes his lighter onto the floor of the plane springing into the air and rolling to Jamie’s feet as the plane goes up in flames. Thalia, Jamie and Darren watch in astonishment as the plane explodes into flames. THALIA Ryan! JAMIE He’ll make it, we have to move Jamie drags her off as she looks back in tears. JAMIE Got it Darren walks off alone. THALIA Will you stop hurling me around like a raggedy Ann! JAMIE No THALIA You know I could electrocute you JAMIE You know I’d kill you before you even tried THALIA Think you could? Jamie lets go and pushes Thalia away JAMIE Stop it! This isn’t the time, believe me when I say this is going to be majorly repressed we’re talking semi-amnesia here (calming) Why did you do it? You knew he had problems THALIA It just happened JAMIE These things don’t just happen. Thalia you cheated on him, you cheated on someone that spent the ages of fourteen to sixteen in an institution for the emotionally unstable THALIA I’m sorry JAMIE Don’t apologise to me, apologise to the families of however many people he’s killed. I’ve seen this before okay…when his Father found out his Mum was getting remarried to my Dad he flipped and took it out on Ryan like he has since he was born, like when he used to beat him worse. Why do you think he went to prison for Dawn? He’s incapable of real emotion it’s all extremes, extreme loyalty meant he would’ve died for her, extreme hurt and jealousy is what you’re seeing now. Thalia begins to cry again JAMIE Extremely dead is what we’ll be if we don’t end this. I’m not into this like you guys I hate this demon crap but I have to deal with it because he’s my Brother and I love him (thinks) If you ever tell him I called him my brother of that I love him, I’ll hit you with a real big truck CUT TO. INT – HOSPITAL – NIGHT Darren is leaning over the desk at reception DARREN Are you sure? NURSE She left about ten minutes ago DARREN You let her? NURSE Security couldn’t even stop her DARREN Who was she with? NURSE I think her Sister Faith, she’s hear a lot and some guy with a serious broody face DARREN Connor NURSE Sorry I can’t be more help DARREN No that’s fine thank you, do you know why they were so urgent to leave? Did they say where they were heading? NURSE Sorry CUT TO. INT – FAITH’S APARTMENT – NIGHT Tara looks up at the clock again, nervous TARA S-sh-shouldn’t she be home by now? CUT TO. INT – GSPOT – NIGHT Willow is tied to the “Pole” used for dancing as Angelus drinks in front of her ANGELUS Great bartender He grins as he drops the man dead to the floor. Willow’s eye’s black out as she tries to escape, It fails ANGELUS Silly, Silly Willow Angelus throws a glass on the wall behind Willow, she shifts as it shatters ANGELUS I told you Linda had the last laugh (thinks) Well she told Faith anyway. Pretty neat huh? Raising me from the dead with no soul to shove up me and then, what a girl she is, she made my little hostage hut impervious to magic (pause) Shame she had to die, I’ve got a thing for dead blondes. END OF PART ONE INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT The door flings open, Tara rushes over TARA Willow? She stops upset as Dawn, Faith and Connor come through the door TARA Dawn? DAWN I apparently suck at coma’s. What’s wrong? TARA It’s W-Willow she’s been gone forever FAITH Where did she go? TARA To the magic shop DAWN (to Faith) You think he’s seen her? TARA Who? FAITH Will’s a big girl, she’s a Goddess she can take care of herself TARA What? Why does Willow need to take care? CONNOR (blunt, dark) Angelus is back. CUT TO. EXT – ANDREWS BAR – NIGHT Jamie and Thalia are stood outside in the rain, shivering as Darren approaches them DARREN She’s gone already JAMIE (to Thalia) Can’t you make this stop? THALIA No. DARREN Guys you’re stood outside Andrew’s bar The girls look at each other like “duh” before walking in ANDREW Hey! Did you guys go like swimming or something? Nothing. KORBEN Andrew it’s raining outside ANDREW I knew that! They all sit at the bar and look less than thrilled ANDREW I.D? THALIA Bad day. Big demon. Big fire. Big drink. ANDREW I.D? THALIA Don’t be cute Andrew ANDREW Sorry Andrew starts making up the strongest drinks he can think of – he’s failing KORBEN Let me do that, go talk to your friends Andrew smiles a little startled before walking over to the others ANDREW Did you catch him yet? THALIA I don’t think that’s likely. I was trying to get a plane out of here but her tore it apart KORBEN Was this a demon? (off looks) I’m not crazy (beat) And sorry for interrupting ANDREW You know about demons? KORBEN Sort of, not much but I know they exist is all… JAMIE It’s my Brother KORBEN The demon? Are you a demon too? JAMIE Step Brother KORBEN He tore a plane apart? I bet teething was a bitch JAMIE That’s not funny KORBEN Sorry Korben lies three drinks out in front of them KORBEN It’s distasteful but they call it “Courtney’s Lover” DARREN Why? All of them shot it back and give “whoa” face JAMIE I get why. One shot goes straight to your head KORBEN So how badly do you need to get out of this place? KORBEN No JAMIE Wishful thinking then KORBEN I have a charter plane, a very small, very old charter plane but it should cope. Where do you need to go? Thalia looks at Jamie and Darren then looks down into her drink before going to answer. CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT CONNOR Why are you acting like this isn’t a big thing? FAITH I’m not I’m just saying if Angelus is back we need to play his game to win CONNOR This isn’t a game. (points at Tara) He has her girlfriend, he attacked Dawn he tried to kill her FAITH No he didn’t if he wanted her dead she’d be in the morgue now DAWN Still here FAITH (ignoring) This was a warning, a taster to test me or maybe you. Both ways we won’t find Angelus if he doesn’t want to be found and I don’t care how much you can smell him Connor shoves past Faith and storms out of the apartment EXT – FAITH’S APARTMENT – NIGHT FAITH Don’t waste your time! CONNOR Go to hell! FAITH Get over it! CONNOR (stopping in tracks) What? FAITH You heard me kid, move on. Leave it. That creature that has Willow is not your Father and I don’t know how or why he’s back but he won’t let us move a mark until he’s rolled the dice so just stop and think CONNOR I’ve had enough of thinking look where it gets us! Garrisons dead, you’ve died, Ryan left prison to become a killer demon and Dawn spends more time in hospital than you do in leather! FAITH Fine get your self killed. Don’t haunt me unless it’s to say I was right Faith turns to head back in, Connor doesn’t move. Faith stops FAITH Didn’t think so CONNOR I’m going to get to him first You know you can’t stop me FAITH Is that so? Faith brings back her fist and smacks Angel down CUT TO. INT – GSPOT – NIGHT Angelus taps on the side of the barrier around Willow, it allows a door for him to leave through ANGELUS You know what’s great? Angelus removes her gag WILLOW Not that dead man smell Angelus punches Willow ANGELUS That was just rude! No the great thing is, even if you managed to escape from those ropes this barrier will kill any living thing however powerful you’d fry in a second WILLOW Angel this isn’t you ANGELUS Ding Ding for the brainy red head! You look so cute when you’re nervous, I’d love to see you dead that’d be some ride I like ‘em rusty Willow spits at Angelus ANGELUS Now, now no need for that Angelus punches her again ANGELUS By the way, you’re right this isn’t Angel. ANDREW Actually I think they’re still flying over DAWN In the other plane DARREN Shocked. Not hurt DAWN We need to find Ryan now JAMIE Darren are all American’s this slow? DAWN Excuse me? JAMIE I’m sorry but it doesn’t seem to matter how often I shake it into all of you but you can’t physically defeat Ryan, it’s not possible! You’re with me or against me, I don’t have time for this. CUT TO. EXT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Tara comes flying out of the door as Faith crashes up against the window. Connor jumps over to Faith and grabs her by the collar throwing her back into the road TARA Stop this! FAITH Come on kid is that all you’ve got? Connor swings his leg round at Faith, she grabs his ankle and bangs his leg back towards him, flinging him over. FAITH I’ve been waiting for months for this Connor flips back to his feet CONNOR I’ve been waiting twice as long TARA Guys this isn’t a competition CONNOR/FAITH (circling each other) yes it is Faith throws a punch, Connor blocks it and throws one at Faith. She blocks it and brings his head down into her knee, he flips backwards bringing his feet into her face and snapping her backwards. TARA We have to help Willow! Both stop as Tara runs back inside. ANGELUS Well, well my two favourite people Both look up in shock as they see Angelus stood at the top of the building CUT TO. EXT – BOSTON STREET – NIGHT Dawn leads as Darren and Jamie march behind her, all fully loaded with weapons Ryan comes tearing round the corner, tearing chunks from the road with his claws, his skin is battered and burnt. DAWN Show time Dawn immediately shoots an arrow into Ryan, he catches it mid air and snaps it with two fingers. Jamie runs at him with a club. He grabs her by the throat and hurls her into a pile of trash cans. Darren spins round and kicks Ryan in the leg before spinning with him back to back and landing a small dagger into him. DARREN Now! Dawn shoots a tranquilliser through the air it doesn’t even pierce his skin. CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Tara pours out her bag on the floor of Faith’s room as she wipes her eyes. She grabs her old diary and finds the map of Boston on it. FADE TO. INT – FAITHS BATHROOM – NIGHT Candles surround Tara as she pours red sand on to the map TARA Willow… She closes her eyes and holds her hands over the map. A tiny white light appears where Willow is. Tara opens her eyes and smiles with relief, blinking in horror as several yellow dots (demons) appear around the building she’s in CUT TO. EXT – BOSTON STREET – NIGHT Ryan throws Darren into a wall and heads for Dawn. DAWN Ryan listen it’s me Dawn…please I know you’re in there Ryan pauses for a moment, his body remains the same but his eyes transform to their human colour and glint Darren unknowingly leaps up and hangs off of Ryan’s back DAWN Darren no! Ryan throws Darren on to the roof of the bus shelter and kicks Dawn into a hedge. He breathes heavily for a moment before launching over to Jamie who’s just about coming round. He leaps into the air and lands, squatted over her with his jaw wide open, his eyes are still human as she looks up to him JAMIE Ryan… His eyes widen as he sees the lack of fear in Jamie’s eyes. She trusts him enough to know he won’t harm her. Slowly he begins to morph backwards. Darren and Dawn look on in pain and shock both are breathless. DAWN Now for the finale DARREN What? CUT TO. INT – ANDREWS APARTMENT – NIGHT Andrew blows out a candle and smiles CUT TO. EXT – BOSTON STREET – NIGHT Ryan is shaking and crying on the floor as Jamie approaches him he flinches at the thought of her touch. Suddenly he stops. JAMIE What’s happening? DAWN The spell worked DARREN Spell? DAWN A curse. We can’t risk this happening again JAMIE What kind of curse? DAWN He’s cured JAMIE From being a demon? DAWN From having emotions, strong ones at least DARREN What? DAWN He can laugh but that’s about it until we know he can control himself entirely then it’s not worth the risk JAMIE How can you deprive someone of their emotions? How the hell do we know what he’s feeling? DAWN You’ll know just look into his eyes Jamie looks at Ryan, he’s beginning to calm as the normally blue Iris becomes a cloudy pink colour JAMIE What’s going on with his eyes? DAWN It’s like a mood ring, blue for calm, green for envy, red for hot, pink for love – the non sexy kind, purple for sick, black for angry…I’ll try and fax you a colour chart or something Jamie smiles at Dawn a little wary before smiling back at Ryan and nodding her head as he looks at his pink eyes. CUT TO. EXT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Angelus boots Faith into Connor and leaps back onto the roof and starts running. FAITH Looks like he rolled the dice END OF PART THREE INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Tara is packing up a bag of stakes and an axe as she swings out of the door alone. CUT TO. EXT – AIRPORT – NIGHT DARREN You’re sure I can’t stay and help? DAWN Positive. It’s nothing we haven’t all faced at some point…well okay it’s nothing Faith, Willow and Connor haven’t faced before DARREN I feel like I owe you so much DAWN I’ll bare it in mind. ANGELUS (can’t be seen through the darkness) Let the games begin Faith and Connor both jump as the doors slam behind them. The lights slowly flicker on, a spotlight on Willow ANGELUS Surprise! FAITH Will! Faith goes to move but stops as around fourteen vampires step out from behind the stage curtains ANGELUS Well doesn’t your timing just suck? END.
