Subject: clinical and composure

Watched the press interview by Marco. It is the same most weeks now and to be fair he highlights the issues well
!. we start on the front foot and do well 2. We are the best team on the pitch 3. We are not clinical. 4 We lack composure in front of goal. 4. At key moments we let ourselves down. Now if we improved those four things we would be in the top 5 and I believe that.
A key step is to get a striker who is clinical and composed. We are in the third window now since Mitrovic left and we have not addressed his departure. Get that and point 2 and 3 improve.

Andersen, Leno, and senior players should be working hard to improve point 4, but they appear to be the ones making the errors. That is about regrouping and management. Maybe time for a rest. Maybe Diop comes back in.

Apart from that the ESR Conundrum in my view unbalances the team. He appears to me overweight and not fit, despite it being January and the second half of the season. Compare his physique to Antonee Robinson who is the same height.
Positionally where do you play him? Does he work hard enough to play down the middle? Is he best out wide? Can he last 90 mins? All a mystery. This season he has played 1259 mins of football - that is 21 hours. He creates an assist or scores a goal every 260 mins (every 4.3 hours!). 0.22 goals per 90 mins. At his height at AFC that figure was 1.66.
