Again with the available comment, do you work for the fa? The manager didn’t have to be available, the fa could have payed their club compensation. It wasn’t that long ago the fa used to pay to get the best man for the job, and now they just go for the cheap option. Tuchel manages elite players and won trophies, particularly strong at knock out football, slightly risky move, but shows FA want to win and not just have a vanilla Southgate mark 2.   - What list? Is that a requirement? The cheap option was carsley or someone internal, not someone on 5m plus all his coaches. An interview list means nothing anyway, hi pep/jurgen, fancy coming in for a chat about the Englsnd job, no, oh ok. Would tbey be on thr list?     - The fa have already stated they have interviewed numerous candidates. And I’m guessing you didn’t know but Southgate was on 5 million a year plus, and he was already the cheap internal option.       - FA need someone mid season, different to a team letting them speak to move at the end of the season, can barely remember a manager breaking contract mid season if someone isn’t sacked. Cheap option was carsley/another internal, less money, fewer demands, irrelevant what Southgate earns. So what constitutes an interview? If I ring pep and ask, you interested, does that count? Because they said more were interested than others so, clearly some of them it would have been pointless to interview.
