I am absolutely saying that his personal history likely makes him predisposed to that kind of security for him (and probably his family) in a way that might sway an otherwise self-believing young football from dropping down so far. I believe that, allied to a gamble that Birmingham will, in two years, give him what he'd hope to achieve at Fulham in that timeframe - a Premier League starting spot - made it an easy choice for him. When a parent dies young through ill health, it's inevitable one might think that might be your own destiny. If that's so, then that can be a driver for wanting to do more sooner, rather than later. - As someone who lost one parent in my early twenties, and the other in my thirties, i can absolutely assure you that it's not inevitable that you think like that. Everyone reacts to that kind of thing completely differently. For 10 years i had an overwhelming sense of wanting to do things/do them in a certain way that my mother would have been proud of me.
