I am absolutely saying that his personal history likely makes him predisposed to that kind of security for him (and probably his family) in a way that might sway an otherwise self-believing young football from dropping down so far. I believe that, allied to a gamble that Birmingham will, in two years, give him what he'd hope to achieve at Fulham in that timeframe - a Premier League starting spot - made it an easy choice for him. - When a parent dies young through ill health, it's inevitable one might think that might be your own destiny. If that's so, then that can be a driver for wanting to do more sooner, rather than later. He hasn't got kids, so why would wealth be the primary driver? Everyone reacts to that kind of thing completely differently. For 10 years i had an overwhelming sense of wanting to do things/do them in a certain way that my mother would have been proud of me.
