Sure. Alicia could step back out the doorway, but they should hope and pray that Audrey just didn’t throw the bed right through the doorway and wall. Like her mother, Audrey preferred to use a hang grenade to kill a mosquito. But, gosh, she did have to make sure the bastard was good and dead. It only makes sense. If there’s going to be a lot of collateral damage, one may as well aim for the high dollar mark. Another distinction between Audrey and Briallan, the daughter felt a faint spasm of pity ripple at the edges of her psyche. Then again, Zeth did bring it unto himself. Had he been the type to be completely honest, she never would have had to take it this far.
Slim ivory shoulder raised in a shrug, the figure pivoted on the ball of her bare foot as she moved to step onto the window sill and onto the ledge. Shards of glass melted with her touch. Thunder rumbled in the distance and wind whipped around her long willowy figure. Her pale pink dress thrashed in the blustery air. Midnight and golden strands of hair snapped fiercely as Audrey stood there barefoot on the ledge as if ready to take her own life. Rotating so her back faced the street bellow, Audrey eyeballed her mother’s consort with laughter dancing across her fair features.
‘I like you. You’re fun… for an old person.’
It seemed like such a shame to simply discard all this wonderful delicious power that coursed through her veins… and she did want to keep an eye on her new pet. Oh yes. Zeth was just that lucky. Briallan’s youngest considered him her pet and like any pet, he needed proper identification and a rabies vaccination. Especially the vaccination. Hand raised as if she were blowing him a kiss, embers flitted across the span of the bedroom to land upon Zeth’s collarbone. Specifically, right in the middle, where that little divot of flesh was located. Did that area even really have a name? The air filled with the odor of burning flesh and upon his flesh would be her family crest. Of course, it wasn’t just a brand. Anything with the faintest magical senses could feel or smell the ward placed upon him. No hurting or stealing Audrey’s pets. AND Zeth couldn’t get rabies either.
In an instant, Audrey disappeared falling backward off the ledge, not leaving a body in the street.
