.:. In scientific laws of gravity, all things travel around one point. One atom size of space that’s occupied unknowingly by something that pulls with unforgiving force. The gravity in this room wasn’t around the center of the earth. It had graphed slightly differently around Brad as his vocal cords released the unquestionable plot. This was it. The big break. Zeth found himself drifting into a chair nearby. He perched atop the cushion as close to the edge as he could, elbows on knees and hands hanging uselessly until Brad finished. He let silence follow it, letting it hammer the idea into his head. This was it. Oh my gosh, Brad. You’re amazing. But Zeth’s brain was already on the technical part. “I’ve got the money to cover it. But we need people. A jockey. Someone to show off the horse’s talents on the track. Someone light…they’re always someone light. But they can’t be on the outside or they’ll end up finding out the plot and twisting every penny out of us for a cover up.” His mind raced with all the frames in his database of friends. Johnny was the smallest he knew…good for getting through store’s alley windows. But he was on the heavy side, much too heavy for a horse to cart around on the track. His eyes drifted around the room with his thoughts until they came to the angelic face of his daughter. She was willowy, granted. But built a lot like her mother, she was tall. But the weight was close. “Could she…” he pointed one pale finger in his daughter’s direction. “work?” His voice was low, so she couldn’t hear if he rejected. “What else is there to horses? I don't know anything. But you know I learn fast. And we both know I’m the best at sweet talking.” .:.
