My interpretation of the problem is that all RM have some ability to look into the male side of OM. The problem is that they don't because it leads to abomination or insanity. After all it is the Taker side. The female side being the giver. They are terrified of that possability. The one they need is a male who can withstand the power of the male side of OM. And also a male to gain the added abilities a male BG would posses.
I am open minded when it comes to this subject. This is just the way I have always thought about it. To give it up would be hard but not impossible. I reseve further judgement untill I reread the books.
