1. Did Leto give Moneo and Siona the Water of Life during their tests? If he did, then they can recall some of their ancestors and possibly be prescient, right?---

Yes, the Siona and Moneo were given the Water Of Life, it is how they "saw" the necessity of the Golden Path.

2. I understand that the sandtrout needed water, so when they got the opportunity after Leto fell from the bridge, they went off in their own directions. The adult sandworm was still a part of Leto when he died, right?---

3. Some people have said how leto still lived through the sandtrout that left. Is that just a figure of speech or is there really a part of Leto and his consciousness in them? I wonder about this because Leto didn't really have much to do with their life processes, did he? It's just the worm part of him, right?---

ANSWER TO BOTH 2 & 3:

The sandworms couldn't leave Arrakis. Part of the Golden Path ALSO included the sandworms, not just humans. Since the relationship between the sandworms (spice) and human beings had become almost symbiotic he needed to save them both.

However, there was something in the sandworm that wouldn't allow it to survive away from Arrakis. The new sandworms were more intelligent (due to having some "human" in them, from Leto). This new sandworm was much more violent than the old one (it couldn't even be ridden, too dangerous, hence it being outlawed). Not only dangerous, but it also had a "sense" of what it was doing (it could recognize Sheeana's dance and, don't forget, it had some of Leto's "pearl of wisdom" in it).

What if, by combining human traits into the sandworm (as Leto had done), he also gave them "adaptability"... enough so that they could be moved to any number of worlds and prosper. Remember Leto wiped out all the "old" sand trout and "old" sandworms... he was the only one... and those descended from him would have a part of him... most importantly his adaptability... and thus could be transported. By being transported and transplanted to any number of worlds, he gave humanity the spice forever and ever. The leash to Dune was severed and humans were free and free to have the spice too!!!
