Alia was just like Paul in that she had male and female memories (remember, she was the same genetic stuff as her brother). Though Alia was NOT a Kwizats Haderach (the fulcrum of human history and human future), she was a "quasi" Kwizats Haderach. She was prescient too, though not as much as Paul (she regularly over-dosed on spice in search of "greater prescience").

As far as Other Memories and Reverend Mothers are concerned, remember this: They didn't always have access to all of them. Most were only accessed when the "inner voice" spoke up when needed. However, when it was a memory passed directly to them through a sharing, the posessing Reverend Mother had greater access to it. This is why sharing is so important. Sharing opens up the Other Memories on a "easier to access" basis, whereas the other "Other Memories" were a tougher thing. This supposition is supported by the fact that most Reverend Mothers needed help from attending sisters to access "deeper into other memories" through a trance.
