I'm pretty sure they're not the equivilant of todays 'stealth' aircraft. The modern aircraft aren't actually stealth. The planes are built in such away that they are less detectable by radar. First of all, they are coated with a special material which absorbs some of the electromagnetic waves used by the radar systems. Also, some of these planes, such as the F117A, have very angular bodies. The reason for all of the angles is to deflect the radar in many directions, rather than reflecting most of the radar back to the base station.

The 'no-ships' in Dune use some advanced mechanism that allows them to disappear from any prescient visions. I think they also become physically invisible. I don't remember the exact details.

Anyway, I don't think the 'no-ships' are very much like todays stealth aircraft. However, I'm not entirely sure of what the 'no-ships' actually are. Does anyone else know more about them?
