We had the same situation happen to us...Our GSD HATED the mailman (never bit) just BARKED etc.., so we decided to keep her in the yard behid our house away from the mailman and the main street. My brother decided to watch one day and sat where the mail man couldnt see him. The guy honest to god, went down the side of our house and maced our dog. My brother kid you not crack the mail man so hard in the face knocked the guy straight down onto the ground. That was the last time we saw mailman Bill. Nothing ever happened to my brother. I have no idea how many times our dogs must have been maced in such a short period of time but it is disturbing that they hate dogs so much but they chose to deliver mail for a living...
