On average, our women's Ivy team sports in softball, basketball, soccer and ice hockey tend to out perform the men's teams in their relative success during their out-of-conference schedules. For example, the Ivy softball teams' composite record is 22-39 in non-conference games, which favorably compares to the Ivy baseball composite record of 10-39 in non-conference games to date.

The Ivy women's teams seem to have less recruiting competition from the Power conferences since there are fewer attractive professional sports team options for women compared to men. There are both far fewer women's professional sports teams and the average salaries are a fraction of the men's average salaries.

Columbia bb looks to have the same issue as a year ago: plenty of hitting and not much pitching. Florida lighting up the pen doesn't mean much as the Gators will light up everybody's pen this spring. But Marist had struggled to score until they got into our 3rd SP and bullpen. I suspect CU will play a lot of 14-11 game threes in Ivy play.
