Columbia bb looks to have the same issue as a year ago: plenty of hitting and not much pitching. Florida lighting up the pen doesn't mean much as the Gators will light up everybody's pen this spring. But Marist had struggled to score until they got into our 3rd SP and bullpen. I suspect CU will play a lot of 14-11 game threes in Ivy play.

I saw a big first year who was throwing 93-94 over the weekend; live arm but still a work in process.

some of you probably remember Kyle Smith's last season where we won the men's hoops College Basketball insider tournie -- we beat UC Irvine --

well the west coast baseball team has avenged that loss with a 32 to 2 pounding of CU baseball - god I hope the waterboy got in for the Cali team - i can't remember when i have seen such a lopsided score and it tells me some commenters here were right - our pitching might be lacking.

Why would the mercy rule not have kicked in when Irvine had a 19-run lead after 7 innings in a nonconference game? Did teams agree to keep playing for practice purposes?
