They blitzed the guards above the three point line, but also recovered well when we threw it into the high post. If they double the post, there should be someone open for 3 or a back door, but we could not find the right shot over their length. And we didn't make the shots we had. Still a great year, but not sure CU's result will cause the NCAA to think about Ivy as a two bid league. There was a gap in athleticism between CU and Vandy that was wider than I had expected. Unfortunately our best player had her worst three point shooting game of the year, missing 9 in a row despite open looks for most of the misses. I think that Columbia likely got their bid as a result of Griffith’s video plea and the committee’s clear recollection that in 2023, Columbia was the first team out. So the committee threw Columbia and the Ivy League a bone, a very rare bone. Post- the loss to Vandy, I doubt that there will be future such bones for the Lions. Going forward, the only way that the Ivies could be a two-bid league is Princeton not winning the ILT and earning an at-large. Lions have had their shot.
