We have no idea how NIL money and the transfer portal will reshape the landscape of college sports. But certainly one possible outcome is that the Ivies either are forced or proactively choose to recede from Division I competition in men’s basketball because we deem it to be a cesspool of which we want no part.

If that is the end game, 2023 and 2024 may be the all-time high water mark for Ivy achievement in the modern, post-Bradley, post-‘79 Penn Final Four era: two different Ivy representatives, Princeton to the Sweet Sixteen plus Yale beating the SEC tournament champion to advance to a winnable game against a 5 seed.

If we have to quit competing at the highest level of men’s basketball, I’m glad that, as we go out, we kick them in the nuts.

Norovirus went through the Princeton team. It started with Ivy Madness and some were still in recovery mode against UNLV.

Well, that would make a difference, thanks for this scoop, unseen in ANY other publication. Is it fair to ask your source?

If multiple players contracted it roughly simultaneously, would suggest a single source outbreak, so they probably know where they contracted it.
