Forget rowing against 15-20 kt. winds....that is what you have sails for! Oars good for 1-2 kts. in a dead calm. Add to your sail inventory light air sails that will give you headway in light conditions...beats rowing! The "Oar Club" is something you never want to join. It means you lost the battle using sails...anchoring...drudging...drifting...
kedging...or waiting for more favorable conditions.
