Subject: He had gotten distracted by the time she spoke up, and was instead staring off into the distance daydreaming about nothing in particular, rather than reading and revising as he was supposed to be. True to his typically social nature, he smiled easily as his gaze shifted to the unfamiliar face who had spoken, and then his nose wrinkled a little in a sort of grimace. "Work. Boring, monotonous work. What are you reading?" With language being his trade, he also happened to be a bit of a bookworm himself - though he didn't have much time anymore these days to read for pleasure. He shifted a little in his chair so that he was facing her more, set down his pen, and then dropped an elbow to rest on the table, papers still in hand.

  • Anna shifted slightly, moving so she was facing him more directly. She had completely mastered the image of a university student- you know, the hoodie with the university’s label and slogan printed across the front- and a pair of faded jeans to match. Anna’s wavy blond hair was loosely drawn up into a ponytail- the occasional rebellious piece falling loose. The truth was that all of her cloths had been burned in the fire. The university had given away a complementary sweater to her and the other students who had lost nearly everything in the fire. The jeans were actually Jessica’s- who had lent them to Anna. The girl really wasn’t so bad- even if she was totally lost on the love thing. Anna just nodded for a moment as he answered, and then as he questioned her she lifted her book for him to see. “The Bell Jar.”She answered. It was one of her classic favourites.
