Today's question is kinda weird.. but interesting!
Question: What makes your skin, just, absolutely crawl?

- Ohhh....the worst is when I erase something on construction paper and some little bits of the paper get in the eraser and make it harder to erase, that gives me huge goosebumps just THINKING about it. Another one is when I scratch my nails across sheets on the bed. I don't understand that one really.. finally, nails on the chalkboard is another one. Ahh....Just thinking about it....I have cold chills now! (NT) -- Lindsey, 10:02:16 03/04/03 Tue
- How do you come up with these? I'm agree with you on the nails over a chalkboard and I'll add things like, ice scraping or people when they eat ice, the smell of sour milk, and well I can't think of anymore. (NT) -- Jeni, 11:35:21 03/04/03 Tue
- Definitely the first thing I thought of was erasing on construction paper....and then I read that and just about had to vomit. I absolutely cannot stand that! UGH! That's really the only thing that comes to mind. -- Layknee, 13:52:58 03/04/03 Tue
- Insects near my face, the subtle sound of someone's lips smacking together while eating makes me want to destroy something beautiful -- Adam, 15:15:58 03/04/03 Tue
- I've only seen this happen once, but it was enough. Be prepared to be grossed out, by the way. I saw a man come out of my parents' laundromat years ago and he blew his nose into his bare hand and then wiped his hand on his pants. And there was a LOT of stuff on his hand apparently because you could see it on his pants from quite a distance. It was disgusting! (NT) -- Marcie., 15:48:57 03/04/03 Tue
- This is neat! well i would have to say the one thing that comes to mind and gives me instant chills even thinking about it .. is when someone trys to erase something with a pencil eraser and there is hardly any eraser left!! ARGH tat makes me nuts... chills up my spine thinking about it!!! ok now i chillin big time!!! -- Aunty Beth, 18:06:07 03/04/03 Tue
- OMG Beth! I totally agree about the end of the eraser thing...ugh! And have we noticed the eraser theme? Hmm...eating noises make me crazy, like to the point where I can't stay in the same room as other people. Wind chimes gives me goosebumps...I can't handle it at all. Fingernails down a chalkboard (obviously). Certain people touching me...like, if I think about it long enough, I get completely weird. Lice, just thinking about it...ugh! (NT) -- Ab, 22:54:17 03/05/03 Wed
- My skin crawls when I think of really gross scary things either happening to me or my friends...like getting stabbed or something like that...I'm not scared from supernatural things. Question: If you have kids, what do you want to name them? (Boy and girl names!)

- My favorite girl name is Brynn. I can never think of a middle name for that first name though. I also like Regan or Kennedy for a girl. And, for a boy, I like the name Riley or Seth. (NT) -- Lindsey, 10:48:41 03/24/03 Mon
- Hmm, tis a good question. Seems nowadays many a western parent chooses more unique names and/or spellings for simply the sake of uniqueness, thus forgetting that some leave children -so- open for name calling. So, for the girlies I like Lindszhye, Abygayle, Tjodey, Kristeauxphre, and Zstefhanyie. (NT) -- Adam, 12:59:24 03/24/03 Mon
- On the serious tip, the only 'unique' name i like is Jocasta, i think it's beautiful. I like the names Hannah, Anna (Awnuh), Jocasta, and Alexis for the girlies. For the boysies I like Adam (DER, I rule), hmmm i dunno what else yet. Boy names are kind of dry and boring (NT) -- Adam, 13:13:29 03/24/03 Mon

- Re: Question of the Day!! -- Mary, 13:30:11 03/24/03 Mon
- Good question! I have lots of favourites. For boys, Andrew, Matthew, David, Richard (David's dad, and I also have a brother, Richard, and a brother in law), Charles (my dad), John Henry (my grandfather, uncle and cousin.. I just like the combination), and my all time favourite, Michael (one of my 4 brothers). For girls, I like very few names, but Emma has always been a favourite, along with Rose, so first girl is Emma Rose. I do not like all these new fangled names they have these days. I don't like anything trendy... or spelled incorrectly. I guess I'm old fashioned. (NT) -- Marcie., 15:57:20 03/24/03 Mon
- I like the name Bethani Elayne (Get it..Lani Beth:)) for a girl and Layton for a boy..I haven't thought of a middle name for that one...I have plenty of time to figure that out:) -- Layknee, 18:55:49 03/24/03 Mon
- Well, since I DO NOT want children, I need someone else to name their children these names...they're up for grabs people, get em' while they're hot! Ok, for a girl I like...Lili, Ray(I don't like the girl spelling), Emma, Armie Jane(my great-grandma's name). For a boy I like...(Ok, EVERYONE hates this name, but I love it) Homer Eisenhower and call him Ike, and Ethan (NT) -- Abi, 19:20:03 03/24/03 Mon
- well i already have a son..Robert Jeffrey Paul (got all the grand dad's and uncles name at once) but...if i was blessed with a girl it would have been Bronwyn Elyse. Or another boy Raine Anthony or Rowan James. (NT) -- tiggs, 22:51:20 03/24/03 Mon
- I hope it's ok I post here. It's weird that you asked this question cuz I was thinking about baby names while I was at work. And it's weird that you said Kennedy cuz I heard that name the other day and thought it was cool. I like guys names for girls cuz im weird so like Avery James and Parker Brookes, guys Aidan or Jaidan Brock (NT) -- linds, 23:40:34 03/24/03 Mon
- For a girl: Chamberlyn RaeAnn for a boy: Miles David for a boy. (NT) -- Melody, 09:46:41 03/25/03 Tue
- Well i personally will say i like layknee's names for her girl the bestest!!! you rock girly... of course i am bias seeings how you were named after me, so you just go right ahead and keep that name a'rolling... :) .. and since all my kids are named, i dont think i will be picking anymore... Heya hun!!! so much has been happening in my life I don't even know where to begin...hmmm...got a promotion, got a raise, and now i hate my job...go figure! Robert is about to get into serious shit when he walks through the doors today...(i'll tell you more in private)... My father passed away on Sunday night, or i guess i should say saturday night, but no one found him til sunday night...it was unexpected, and is "suspicious" as the police would say...I'm still quite numb, not sleeping, and i don't think i am dealing well with it at all, and if one more person tells me i am strong and can get through this i think i will literally have to bitch slap them,,,cause i don't feel strong right now, nor do i want to be, i want nothing more than to crawl into my bed, and stay there...only i know that is not the thing to do, its still what i wish for. He left no will, had no insurance so the headaches have been many, and still not even close to be over. I took the week off of work, however I am to go back on monday...and i really just don't want to...i like staying at home, i think i need tostay at home, because basically i am scared to start work again...one person will say something to comfort me and i know i will cry, and i hate crying in front of people it sucks
ok...now i've made myself all pissy and weepy...so i gotta run...
take care hun, no i love ya!

- Update for Karen -- Lindsey, 00:49:59 09/19/03 Fri (NoHost/139.102.244.243)
Well, I haven't updated here in a long ass time so I reckon I should do that.
Life is pretty good right now. I bought a new car on Monday and I LOVE IT. It's a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT, and this sucker flies! It's black, 4 door, and fully loaded with all the fun stuff. It makes me want to drive a lot, and fast. :)
School is going well. It was overwhelming at first--grad school is so different from undergrad. I have a lot of work to do but it will make me into a good therapist.
Love. Fuck love. It doesn't exist. Enough said about that.
Work is going well. It occupies a lot of my time but I get to live in an apartment and eat for free so I'm not complaining. I enjoy it a lot.
I miss my Jody a lot. I was gonna go see her for Fall Break but I'm not going to be able to due to my school work and my fucking financial aid check not coming through yet. Not only that, but I found out today that I'm on duty that weekend. Pleh. Pisses me off.
Everything else is going well too, whatever else there is. I'm relatively happy and mostly healthy. I can't complain, really. Well, I could, but not about a lot. :)
Thanks Karen, for keeping my updated on your life.. and everyone else sucks for not posting anything. Boo! Hiss!
That's all for now. :)

- and yet another KAREN update... -- Karen, 12:00:50 09/14/03 Sun (NoHost/67.69.109.121)
well..lets see where to begin...I MISS YOU!!!!
Robert made the rep team for hockey, in the age group above him...it scares me...he is 6'1, and 15...these guys are 16 & 17 and ARE BIGGER THAN HE IS...like when did they start growing kids like this...when i was in school 15 year old boys were scrawny little geeky things...and now i see them walking around and i think...damn i was born 20 years too damn soon. he is doing great...school seems to be going well, and there are endless phone calls from members of the opposite sex...the other night in the space of 2 hours 6 different girls called...is that normal?
as for my kitchen...i don't wanna talk about it...its like the movie the money pit...and it depresses me...i used lasvegas money on my kitchen...and that is just kinda sad...
me? well...i still don't believe in love..but i do believe in multiple flirtations...lol...there is someone in my life i care a great deal for...i like to spend time with...however he drives me nuts...i don't know if i am meant to find love again...online flirtations are great, in life flirtations are great, but when it becomes serious...i tend to back off, or look for little things that irritate me...someday maybe it will be different...
so linny me darlin...how is life? work? love? school? and all other important things going?
i hope your well, happy, and healthy...and that you know how much me luvs ya!

so...my kitchen still isn't done...but i am beyond stressing...i'm starting to like the fact that my fridge is beside my computer..easier to reach for the beer.
hmmm..robert has been in conditioning camp for the month of august for hockey, and his try outs start this weekend. He's still not completely healed but is enough to play. I hope he makes the Kings or else i will have a pissed off kid to live with for a few weeks til he gets over it.
I am still working the two jobs and am averaging 60+ hours a week...I'm loving the money!!! I was planning a trip in October..but I don't have picture id, so I couldn't get a plane ticket..so I have put the paper work through for my id...and i should get it in Novemeber...so then i will start looking for places to visit...
I have been on a dvd buyng spree...someone needs to stop me...its getting out of hand...no shelf space for them, they are actually lining up on the floor...lol
my hair is short, blonde, brown, and red...i think i am liking it...but that could change by next week.
I have tomorrow off!!!! its the first saturday I've had off in 4 months...soo...i'm going to kingston to dinner and the movies...(i'm all excited and stuff)
hmmm...men still suck. although there are times i do enjoy having them around..like when they pay for dinner, and the movies...LOL...other than that...pshaw! to them!
hope your doing well, keeping busy, and staying happy!!!!

- What's in a name? -- Lindsey, 09:10:37 07/15/03 Tue (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
The name of Lindsey creates an overly-sensitive nature which causes you to sense and feel far more than you can understand or put into words. You have a deep, artistic, and creative side which shows through a love for music and literature. Writing is a more natural mode of expression for your deeper thoughts and feelings than the spoken word. You have an ability to concentrate and work intently on anything which holds your interest. However, you prefer to avoid routine, monotony, and mental tasks. You enjoy the out-of-doors and find your greatest peace and relaxation from the beauty and harmony of nature. You prefer to limit your friendships and associations to those who share your interests and appreciate your quiet, refined ways. Others often find it difficult to understand you. Your feelings tend to build up within you and, if you cannot release them through a creative, constructive channel, you could suffer with frustration, moods, and much inner turmoil. This name causes tension in the region of the solar plexus, as well as the heart and lungs. Health problems would centre in those areas of the body.

just a quick update on what's what in the life of tiggie...Robert has his appointment tomorrow at the specialist to see if he can resume playing sports...i hope he can, cause he is driving me nuts. I'm still working on my kitchen...week 4 with no floor, stove, or cupboards...fridge is in the dining room...and i have boxes all over my house...it hasn't been fun...however its mostly my fault, cause i'm being completely female and have changed my mind SIX FRICKEN TIMES, regarding the flooring...hard wood, cushion? and if cushion plain, design, color and if color what color, and if design what design...ARGH!!! however i have picked the paint out, the counter top, sink, and fixtures...so thats a plus.
as for my love life...i have a like life...i'm dating a couple of guys I like, i enjoy spending time with, they make me laugh and treat me very very well, and spoil me rotten...however they don't make me feel funny down there...so its still just dating.
I think there is something wrong...the ones i really like, and can never get over...treat me like shit...and yet...i pine for them...one day when i am all growed up, i will pick a nice one...i hope...
going to mississauga next weekend to see matrix reloaded at the IMAX...kinda excited about that...I haven't been to an IMAX movie since dances with wolves.
hoping beyond hope, i win the lottery so i can fly, you and jody over for a visit...its been too long.
anywho...nuff said...

- Since no one else posts anything... -- Lindsey, 13:31:54 07/08/03 Tue (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
I guess I'll give yet another update on my life, even though it's not that exciting...
I scheduled classes for the Fall. I only have 9 credit hours which is full time for grad students. I will have class on Wednesdays and Thursdays only--2 classes on Wed. and 1 on Thurs. My classes are about 3 hours long, apiece. I'm taking Techniques of Counseling, Foundations of Counseling, and Theories of Counseling. Sounds like a lot of boring stuff but I'm still excited to get started, nonetheless.
I'm also really excited to get moved into my apartment. I found out last week that I was placed in Sandison Hall which is where I lived the first three years I was here. I have the apartment on the first floor and it's the bigger one of the two in the building. It has a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom. I also hear it has lots of closet space. Now I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to decorate and stuff. I want to get three Van Gogh prints that I really like to put in my bedroom. I need to get a new futon cover for this futon my mom got from her friends for me. I also need a few other things that I hope I can get when my student loans get refunded.
And on an even more exciting note, I'm getting a new car! Yay! I've been looking around at home and I plan on looking here, in Terre Haute, too. I don't know for sure what I'm gonna get yet, but I've been looking at Pontiac Grand Ams. I would rather have a Honda but my dad isn't supporting that decision at all. He would rather me have an American car in case something happens to it. He doesn't really know much about foreign cars and says he can work on an American car better than a foreign one. So, I've decided to compromise this time and get an American one. I should be getting it in the next few weeks. I'm really excited. I've never really had a nice car...that's all about to change.
Other than that, not much going on here. It's boring as hell and I don't do much..and I'm still so broke it's unbelievable but I'm sure things will work out. They always do.
Hope things are well with everyone else. Leave me a message or something and let me know how you're doing. :)

- Well I got a job as a cashier at Safeway, I've been down a lot lately, hopefully that will change soon. I honestly don't know what my deal is. The kitten Ben (aka Spawn of Satan) is still being a pain in the ass but he is soon to be getting the nuts snipped so that should calm him down. That concludes this update. -- Jody, 02:50:07 07/09/03 Wed
- Not much new here.. we got settled in our house nicely, I'm doing pretty well on eBay with my stained glass, and still trying for a baby. Glad to hear everything's going well for you, Lindsey! Good luck with your classes, your new apartment and car hunting! (NT) -- Marcie., 14:24:25 07/11/03 Fri
- Ok I'm not following. If you get a -new- car, there will be a warranty. The dealership will take care of everything for the life of the warranty. Foreign cars, especially Japmobiles are easier to fix than american cars, IMO. Nonetheless, if it's a new car there'll be a warranty. Plus, with the major influx of import vehicles in the US, parts, availability, and service for out of warranty vehicles are -SO- easy and Crazy cheap. Plus with that high of volume, the manufacturers can up the quality which is why you see Honda and Mazda's on the street that can go for 200,000 miles easily. Only decent American cars out there now really are the GMC Yukon and Corvette. I'd suspect both are a bit out of your price range, so go for the Import, PLEASE. - Blah -- Lindsey, 17:18:25 07/11/03 Fri (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
Everyone has pet peeves. One of my biggest ones is feeling embarrassed for other people when they should be feeling embarrassed for themselves. Everyone knows those situations... it's when people do or say something that is completely and totally tactless. You think in your head, "Alright buddy.. Stop talking while you're still ahead.." But they continue to talk or do whatever it is that is embarrassing, oblvious to the looks everyone around is giving them. I usually get up and leave the situation immediately. I CAN'T STAND IT!
Recently I've realized another huge pet peeve of mine. I hate it when people take me for granted. I hate it when people just assume I will be there to pick them up when they're down or use me for pleasure when they aren't getting it anywhere else. Don't you hate that? It's like...if I'm good enough during the bad times then I damn well better be good enough during the good ones too. People tell me all the time not to let others walk all over me and I just blow them off. I feel like I'm a pretty strong person.. I stand up for myself, on most occasions. There are only a small, small, SMALL few out there that I don't stand up to for whatever reason. I think it's time to stop that.. I'm tired of laying down and taking shit from people. I'm tired of getting used and taken advantage of. It's really starting to piss me off, instead of hurting me. I used to let it get to me.. I used to get hurt, then sad, then confused. I didn't understand why I seemed to be an easy target. What did I do to deserve such treatment? It doesn't matter now. I'm over it.

Not much going on here, just working the desk and being a bum. I'm enjoying it and I'm making some money. I am also now giving plasma, so my sister and I are both prostitutes. It's pathetic how broke I am, but hey, that's the way it happens sometimes.
Tonight I hung out with some really cool people and played Balderdash and Phase 10. I had a lot of fun! I've met a lot of new people lately and it reminds me of how awesome my job is. I have so many awesome friends because of it.
Today, while cleaning in the living room, I knocked my Hard Rock Cafe shot glass that I got in Hollywood off the shelf and broke it. Man, that made me want to cry! That shot glass has sentimental value.. I mean, damn! I got it in Hollywood! God knows when I'll be back there... :(
I ought to get in bed. I have to work the desk at 11 tomorrow...for 4 straight hours. Those are the longest shifts in the world. Makes me crazy.
Well I guess that's all from me. Not much of an update, really... but then again, I don't do a lot.. lol.
Leave some lovin' guys! :)

- Minute Mystery!! -- Lindsey, 16:08:59 06/09/03 Mon (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
Sorry for the delay guys, but here is the answer to the last Minute Mystery:
Detective Renz knew that Princess Elizabeth took the ring because when Renz asked to use the phone, she said it was in the room next to hers, but she said she had to go all the way downstairs to use the phone when she called the police. Also, no one in the whole embassy noticed anything suspicious which led Detective Renz to believe it was an inside job.
I think that was a kinda shady Minute Mystery so I got a better one this time. Enjoy!
There Goes the Neighborhood.
It had snowed during the night, and when Captain Stottlemeyer brought Adrian Monk to the suburban home, a white blanket covered the front yard. Monk inspected a single set of footprints leading from the sidewalk to a flowerpot on a tree stump, then to the victim's front door. There were no other prints in the yard until Monk himself crossed to the stump, lifted the flowerpot, and found the obvious: a key. "The killer knew where they kept the emergency key."
Stottlemeyer had figured that much. He also had a theory. The victim, one Janet Malloy, was in bed with the flu when the killer took the key from under the flowerpot and entered the house. The probable intention had been to steal the victim's coin collection, but Janet had heard a noise, come downstairs, and interrupted the burglar. The result? Murder with a fireplace poker.
"Janet was supposed to be at work," explained Bob Malloy, the grieving husband. "Only she and I have keys, but our neighbors both knew about the emergency key."
The neighbor on the left was Paul Jameson, a compulsively well-organized business consultant. He had been at home all morning. He claimed not to have gone outside until noon, when he left for a meeting, and that he didn't return until after Malloy had discovered the body at 6 p.m.
The neighbor on the right was Gertrude Brown, a homemaker, as slovenly as Jameson was neat. She also claimed to have been at home until noon, when she went out to the grocery store, returning an hour or so later.
"I have a preliminary time of death," Stottlemeyer said. "Between eight and ten a.m."
"And I have a preliminary suspect," countered Monk.
Who does Monk suspect to be the killer and what clue gave the killer away?

- Minute Mystery!! -- Lindsey, 18:17:30 06/03/03 Tue (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
Here's the answer to yesterday's Minute Mystery:
How could John Wilson use his cell phone if he lived way up in the mountains. The lines would have bad connection because of the mountains getting in the way. He must have killed Brent at his house, and as he was driving out of his driveway, he called Dr. Dawson. He then quickly drove home, changed his bloody clothes, and then drove back to Brent's house.
Congrats to Miss Lani Beth for getting the answer right!
Here's today's Mystery. Have fun! :)
The Case of the Stolen Golden Ring
It was a quiet afternoon in Detective Renz's office. She was about to pack up and go home when the phone rang. It was Lady Elizabeth, the famous Princess from Morocco. She was staying in Canada at the Morocco Embassy.
"Please, Detective Renz, could you help me?" pleaded Lady Elizabeth, "My Blue Diamond Ring has been stolen!"
"Okay, I'll be right over," replied Renz. She drove over to the embassy and quickly made her way up to Lady Elizabeth's room.
"Oh, thank you for coming, I don't know what I'll do if I don't get that ring back. It belonged to my great, great, great grandmother. It is priceless!"
"I'm sure you are upset. Please tell me what happened the day it went missing."
"The day that it went missing I was wearing it. I went to dinner with it on and when I got home I went up the stairs to my bedroom to put away my ring. I put it in my jewel box, then I went to have a bath. After my bath, I went downstairs to because dinner was being served and then I watched some T.V.
The next day I was going to go to another charity event. I was getting ready to go when I noticed my ring was gone. Then I went downstairs to call the police. That's when I saw someone run out the door with my ring."
"Oh this sounds like a hard one, do you think I could use the phone, to call my partner?" ask Renz.
"Yes you may, there's a phone in the room next to mine", said the Princess.
"Maybe we should go downstairs to ask someone if they saw anyone," suggested Renz.
"Okay, let's do that", agreed Elizabeth.
"My partner will meet use down there."
They went down to the lobby to ask someone if they had seen anyone with a blue diamond ring. No one had witnessed anything suspicious.
"Princess, you should put your ring back now then come with me because you are under arrest!" Detective Renz demanded.
"What! You think I took my own ring?"
"I know you took it!" assured Detective Renz.
Why was Detective Renz so sure that Princess Elizabeth stole her own ring?

- Minute mysteries! -- Lindsey, 11:06:45 06/02/03 Mon (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
When I was in high school, my geometry teacher always told us minute mysteries. It was my favorite part of the class. But, anyway, I looked online to find some to share with you guys. I'm gonna start posting one every day or so and you can try to figure them out. Reply to the post but put your answer in the message box rather than the subject box so everyone else can guess too. Have fun! Here's the first one:
The Case of the Cellular Phone
"Dr. Dawson, you must go to Brent Abbott's house immediately! I think he's been shot!" John Wilson explained.
"I'll meet you at his house then," Dr. Dawson replied.
Dr. Dawson and an ambulance arrived at Mr. Abbott's house soon after he got off the phone with Mr. Wilson. One hour later John arrived just in time to see the body of his best friend being carried out of his house.
"What took you so long to get here?" Dr. Dawson asked.
"Um, I needed to pick up a birthday cake for my wife. There was a big line-up at the store. So, is he dead?" John asked slowly.
"I'm afraid he is." Dr. Dawson informed him, "You live way up in the mountains, don't you?"
"Yes I do, " Mr. Wilson answered.
"Can you please tell me how you knew he was shot?" Dr. Dawson asked.
"Certainly. I was driving out of my driveway when I decided I'd better call him on my cell phone to tell him that I was coming over to drop off some tools I borrowed a couple weeks ago. He picked up the phone. He seemed a little uneasy when he said hello. I was just about to tell him I was on my way over when he suddenly screamed and I heard three gun shots. I called his name a couple times, then I hung up and quickly called you!"
"Why don't you just admit killing him," Dr. Dawson said.
"What are you talking about? He's my best friend!" John exclaimed, a little surprised.
"Well then, why did you kill him?"
How did Dr. Dawson know that John had killed his best friend?

- Updates -- Lindsey, 19:21:51 05/29/03 Thu (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
I suppose I should let everyone know what's going on in my life, huh?
First of all, I got accepted to Graduate School here at ISU for the Master's in Couseling Psyhology program. W00t! I also got the job I wanted for next year. I will be an assistant hall director, which means, I will be the superviser of the RAs of one of the dorms on campus. Right now I am one of those RAs, but next year I move up in the ranks. It means that my tuition and room and board are paid for. I also get a monthly stipend that's pretty nice. It's a great job to have. I'm really looking forward to it.
I graduated from ISU at the beginning of this month with a degree in psychology. It's really exciting and I'm really proud of myself. I'm the first person in my family to have a bachelor's degree. Go me! I feel really good that I'm taking the steps necessary to get what I want out of life.
My love life is non-existent, but I'm okay with that. I think being single for a while is something I need. I depend too much on others to make me happy. That has got to stop. I'm working on being happy with myself, first. I think I'm doing a pretty good job.
I miss all my friends like crazy. Jody is leaving as I write this to go to Seattle. It's gonna be so weird without her around here. She and I have been friends for 10+ years. I know she will be happy though, and I'm happy for her. She has finally found what she wants in life. Good luck Jody! I love you!
Sorry I haven't been updating here very often. I am guilty of letting this message board die too. I have a live journal and I have been paying more attention to it than my message board. I promise to be better about this!
Leave some love guys! :)

- I never meant to cause you trouble.. -- Lindsey, 12:16:03 05/22/03 Thu (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
Oh no, I see,
A spider web is tangled up with me,
And I lost my head,
The thought of all the stupid things I said,
Oh no what's this?
A spider web, and I'm caught in the middle,
So I turned to run,
The thought of all the stupid things I've done,
I never meant to cause you trouble,
And I never meant to do you wrong,
And I, well if I ever caused you trouble,
Oh no, I never meant to do you harm.
Oh no I see,
A spider web and it's me in the middle,
So I twist and turn,
Here I am in my little bubble,
Singing, I never meant to cause you trouble,
I never meant to do you wrong,
And I, well if I ever caused you trouble,
Oh no, I never meant to do you harm.
They spun a web for me,
They spun a web for me,
They spun a web for me.

I changed the look of the board today. I needed a change. This is based off a really killer song called Dive into the Pool that I love. It's really fun to dance to. You should check it out!
Well, I guess I'll end this here. If no one is posting, then there's no reason to update on my life. Not really much going on anyway... just being bored. Leave a message and let me know how you all are...if anyone comes here anymore, that is.
Bye guys!

- Yeah, I've been busy... but I would suggest a swift kick in the shorts. That's how my parents dealt with my brother when he was a 15 year old brat. (NT) -- Lindsey, 21:14:26 04/10/03 Thu
- Try to relate to him. Remember that he thinks you're not the coolest because you're "mom." Remember not to take things personal that he does, because he's not trying to personally hurt you, he's just being a boy. Remember that he isn't yet a man, and that times have changed so much since you were 15. Don't try to sound like you always know best, and let him have some input on rules and decisions, it'll make him feel like he's in control, even if you know you still are. Just be his mom, and love him, and support him in whatever he needs or wants to do. And don't forget, AGAIN, he's a 15 year old boy! Have a happy day!!! :-D (NT) -- Abi, 17:12:59 04/11/03 Fri

I also wish I could play golf well...I once went to a driving range and threw the club further than I hit the ball. :) (NT) -- Lindsey, 09:46:52 03/25/03 Tue
- Alas my interest in Football didn't come around until I was in college, but I've always been able to throw the shit out of a football, so if I could i'd like to be able to play QB. One sport I'm atrocious at is Iceskating/rollerblading, it'd be nice to be able to do that as well, damn balance. Also, when I do take it, I'm pretty decent with martial arts. - Well, as most of my friends know, I don't like to be by myself when I'm upset. When I do want to be alone, I just chill in my room, and I love to lay by the fountain here at school in the summer (it's totally my fave.) When I'm home, I love to lay in the huge swing we have in the back yard, it's soooo comfy! But, I love to drive when I'm upset...Thats it. Everyone have a happy day (NT) -- Abi, 01:58:21 03/07/03 Fri
- I'm not upset very often, so this is kind of a hard question. When I lived on campus, I liked to go hang out at Frog Baby (when it's nice out). There's plenty of grass to take a seat in..that's always nice. But now that I'm off campus, I'd have to say that I enjoy going next door and sitting in Bruce's room when he's not there. He lets me borrow it whenever I need to, and our house is too loud most of the time, so going next door is the next best option. -- Layknee, 07:30:31 03/07/03 Fri
- When I'm feeling sad or blue I like to just get in my car, put in some mellow music and just drive, get lost somewhere, I love getting lost and having to find my way back. Cause when you get lost it's like you discover all kinds of cool shit. (NT) -- Jeni, 12:15:40 03/07/03 Fri

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted lately, but I haven't been able to gain access to this board since I have been home. Everytime I try I get booted or it simply won't load...but here I am now!
This week, so far, has been great. I really needed a break and it has been nice being at home, with good weather, and hanging out with my family. I have missed them. My mom and I are getting some good quality time together with my dad and brother gone in Florida and Lani at school. It's kinda weird with only us here, but I'm not complaining. :)
Not too much going on otherwise.. I have been a bum most of the time I've been home. I've done some stuff, but I have been very leisurely. It's fabulous!
Anyway, I think I will get out of here...feel free to post. As long as I can get here I'll check and see what's going on. When I get back to school we can resume discussions, questions, and whatever else. Adam, I'm sorry I never replied to your debate question below. I think I'm too ignorant to make a valid argument, or I just don't have the time to research it. lol...maybe if you post something else, I might have better luck? I don't know. I might just be dumb!
Hope everyone has a great week :)

Okay, I really can't say this enough. Switchfoot is like my favorite band. Their new cd "The Beautiful Letdown" is amazing. If you wanna hear one of those feel good, driving down the road type songs that you can rock to... here it is.
When I wake in the morning,
I want to blow into pieces.
I want more than just ok, more than just ok.
When I知 up with the sunrise
I want more than just blue skies.
I want more than just ok, more than just ok.
I知 not giving up, giving up, not giving up now.
I知 not giving up, giving up, not backing down.
More than fine, more than bent on getting by.
More than fine, more than just ok.
When I知 wet with the sunshine.
I want more than just a good time.
I want more than just ok, more than just ok.
I知 not giving up, giving up, not giving up now.
I知 not giving up, giving up, not selling out.
More than fine, more than bent on getting by.
More than fine, more than just ok.
More than fine, more than bent on getting by.
More than fine, more than just ok.
More than oceans away from the dawn.
More than oceans away from the dawn.
More than oceans away from who we are
More than oceans, more than oceans, yeah.
More than fine, more than bent on getting by.
More than fine, more than just ok.
More than fine, more than bent on getting by.
More than fine, more than just ok.

- Hands Down -- Lindsey, 15:48:16 03/14/03 Fri (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
Breathe in for luck,
breathe in so deep,
this air is blessed,
you share with me.
This night is wild,
so calm and dull,
these hearts they race,
from self control.
Your legs are smooth,
as they graze mine,
we're doing fine,
we're doing nothing at all.
My hopes are so high, that your kiss might kill me.
So won't you kill me, so I die happy.
My heart is yours to fill or burst, to break or bury,
or wear as jewelry, which ever you prefer.
The words are hushed lets not get busted;
just lay entwined here, undiscovered.
Safe from the earth and all the stupid questions..
"hey did you get some?" Man, that is so dumb.
Stay quiet, stay near, stay close they can't hear...
so we can get some.
My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me.
So won't you kill me, so I die happy.
My heart is yours to fill or burst, to break or bury,
or wear as jewelry, which ever you prefer.
Hands down this is the best day I can ever remember,
I'll always remember the sound of the stereo, the dim of the soft lights,
the scent of your hair that you twirled in your fingers
and the time on the clock when we realized it's so late
and this walk that we shared together.
The streets were wet and the gate was locked so I jumped it,
and let you in.
And you stood at the door with your hands on my waist
and you kissed me like you meant it.
And I knew that you meant it,
that you meant it,
that you meant it,
and I knew,
that you meant it,
that you meant it.
--Dashboard Confessional--
This band seriously rocks.

- The Best Deceptions -- Lindsey, 14:50:11 03/12/03 Wed (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
I heard about your trip.
I heard about your souvenirs.
I heard about the cool breeze, in the cool nights,
and the cool (girls) that you spent them with.
Well I guess I should have heard of them from you.
I guess I should have heard of them from you.
Don't you see, don't you see,
that the charade is over?
And all the "Best Deceptions" and "Clever Cover Story" awards go to you.
So kiss me hard
'cause this will be the last time that I let you.
You will be back someday
and this awkward kiss that tells of other people's lips will be of service
to keeping you away.
I heard about your regrets.
I heard that you were feeling sorry.
I heard from someone that you wish you could set things right between us.
Well I guess I should have heard of them from you.
I guess I should have heard of them from you.
I'm waiting for blood to flow to my fingers,
I'll be all right when my hands get warm.
Ignoring the phone, I'd rather say nothing.
I'd rather you'd never heard my voice.
too late to be gracious
and you do not warrant long good-byes.
You're calling too late.
You're calling too late.
You're calling too late...

- Randomness -- Lindsey, 13:39:08 03/11/03 Tue (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
Hey guys.. I just wanted to post to say hello and see how everyone was doing. I'm doing ok, I suppose. I feel kinda icky today.. My stomach is doing weird things. It's been upset for a couple days now.
Only a couple more days until Spring Break! I'm excited. Instead of going to Canada and NYC, I'm going home, though. Kinda sucks, but then again, I miss my mom and she's excited about me coming there to help her get around. She's still hobbling on her ankle. Apparently she has a lot of fun activities planned for that week. She makes me laugh.. :)
School is going pretty well.. I'm ready to get out of here though. I need to get away from my building. Last week I had a nasty write-up with some guys on the 5th floor and they have been calling me a fat bitch ever since. I'm kinda tired of it. Spring Break is gonna be so nice! I hope the weather is warm.. I'm gonna talk my dad into putting the porch swing up instead of going the whole damn spring and summer without it last year. That sucked!
So, I made this New Year's Resolution to keep in touch with my friends at home more than I have and yeah, I've been sucking it up. I haven't talked to Kristy since January, Jody and I hardly talk that often anymore, and I need to hang out with Greg, Julia, Shannon, and Lori soon. I miss all my friends. I thought I would be less busy this semester, and I'm not, really. It kinda sucks. I'm sorry guys... I'm a terrible friend, but I think about you all the time and I really want to hang out!
I got a letter in the mail from my friend Rob from Chicago yesterday. He's not in Chicago though... he's a marine and he's in Kuwait. :( That's scary. He sent me about a page talking about sleeping in a tent with a bunch of stinky marines. He asked me what the news was saying about the war and I'm stupid, so I really don't know. I'm gonna find out though, and write him back. He said all they get over there is rumors and he hasn't seen any kind of paper since Febraury 6. I miss him and I hope he's doing ok. It was good to hear from him.
Well, I think I'm gonna go take a shower since I've been laying around all day doing nothing but sleeping. Hope everyone has a great day!
P.S. Someone else can post a question of the day if they want to! :)

well your mother wanted me to post this for her, she got upstairs to take a shower and got online and read the message board and said that she was going to write something on the "chills" thing but about the time she started to write it the phone rang and booted her off line... so here i am going to post it for her! no girls you know how your mom is! i told her to write is down the way she wanted it to be put on here and she started gagging so fast, she siad there is no way i can write it down! "you know what it is so just put it there" needless to say as she was dry heaving thinking abou it i was laughing my butt off at her! so here goes...
Denise/aka MOM said that the thing that gives her the chills is someone drinking milk and having it on their mouths or on the glass or even thinking about wanting to take a drink of her milk!! anything with milk makes her have chills... but she said the one thing that get the worse chills! is the brushing of the teeth thing you know when you have toothpaste coming out of your mouth and down your arm sort of thing!!! she was trying to tell about 1 time when lani did that and was making your mom sick i was laughing so hard at her trying to tell i thought i'd die laughing!!! lol she is something isn't she!!!! LOL
anyway i thought i'd add that on here for her so you know that sometimes she can get up those stairs and at least read the post maybe not have time to post anything but at least read them!
your mom also said that you were coming home to take care of her during spring break, linds... she is so happy she says we will have a good time,,, cooking and baking cookies and stuff... anyway she is looking forward to it alot.. so i will go now thought i'd that for your mom! knew you and lani would for sure get a kick out of that one for sure... talk to you soon. love ya girls..

- Pornography debate... -- Abi, 23:48:00 03/05/03 Wed (NoHost/139.102.119.143)
Ok, so this is all in response to Adam's defense comment for the pornography industry. I think that it's very sad that a woman or a man has to be objectified in any way, this including pornography, commercials, TV shows, movies, celebrities, and media in general. We, of course, have to think about what happens to us every time we open up a fashion magazine and we don't feel beautiful anymore. We have to take into consideration how many times a day we are told we are fat by the diet commercials, pills, new weighloss systems and excercise machines they are selling on TV. It is horrible that every time we turn around, there is a new trend that we can't afford to keep up with, or a new hairstyle that we can't quite pull-off. BUT, why do we do this? 95% of the time it isn't for ourselves. Everyone wants to look nice to pick up that new love, or that new fling. We live in a sex filled society where the objective of life anymore, is to look beautiful so we are wanted. I promise that it isn't for those nights when you want to cozy up by the fire for a nice converation. It is for those times when you want to look sexy in that horribly uncomfortable new $85 Victoria's Secret lace...thing... The pornography industry pushes that in our faces every fucking time we turn around. We need to look 'hot' for our partner. If we didn't live in a society that was so overwhelmed with pornography, half of our problems would be gone. Our men and women would start realizing that those pictures are in no way, shape, or form a reality. Models form less than 1% of our entire world. Why do we encourage the basis of most of our problems? If we didn't have an entire industry based on the impossible and unrealistic sexual dream for most people, women and men around our world may start loving themselves for who they really are. They won't have to worry that they don't look 'hot' enough and their parter is going to be thinking about the girl in the movie instead of her. We have to start somewhere...why not with the root of all our insecurities? Start big and the rest of the problems will slowly disapear with it. So, Adam, if you want to talk more about this...I would love to start a running debate. Others feel free to chip in...I love opinions!! Everyone have a happy day, and remember we are just as beautiful as those women and men on TV because we are REAL!

- well my opinion is this, porn is plain disgusting! it is hard to imagine that there are people out there that really enjoy doing that to themselves. but as long as people buy or rent them they will continue to produce them! myself find that sex between 2 people should be taken seriously and to know that people just throw in around without regard is plain disgusting in my opinon. and i dont think anything bad about anyone regardless!!! - Well, I've watched Porn for fun before with my friends...I think its funny! As far as relationships go...I think it depends, if you are in a relationship where that is a part of something you & your significant other do out of love for each other, than I say, "go for it". In a relationship where love is involved, porn should be something discussed and agreed upon by both partners. This is all my opinion. :) (NT) -- Mary, 13:33:21 03/02/03 Sun
- Ohhh....there is sooooo much to be said about porn. I think that it is extremely dangerous in our society. The more we objectify other people, the less we respect ourselves. If we want to be respected as women for whatever size or color or body shape we have, we can't support an industry that promotes sexism and reinforces every negative gender stereotype we have for both men and women. - Neither. I think they both suck. I don't watch much late night television. (NT) -- Lindsey, 15:43:41 02/27/03 Thu
- Letterman, but only because he's an alumni of my wonderful school---Ball State University for those of who might not know. -- Layknee, 10:56:03 02/28/03 Fri
- I watch both of them, I like Dave's top tens, but Leno cracks me up sometimes. It depends on who has better guests, though. Usually I end up flipping back and forth, if I'm watching TV...which is something I don't do very often -- Mary, 13:35:31 03/02/03 Sun
- Definitely Leno...he cracks me up. BUT, I think the best of all is Conan O'Brian...he's funny as hell. Is swear he ALWAYS makes me laugh!! (NT) -- Abi, 15:13:10 03/03/03 Mon

- Yeah, I do believe I an with you on that one. Here in Indianapolis we got 9 inches of snow in my area. I took a nap yesterday and it was raining woke up and we have 3 inches of snow on the ground. (NT) -- Jeni, 09:49:50 02/23/03 Sun
- I HATE the weather here too! Seriously, if it gets any colder, or if we get anymore Goddamn snow, I'm going to kill someone! I miss my filpflops terribly:( (NT) -- Ab, 02:12:57 02/24/03 Mon
- The weather can be as bad as it wants as long as I don't have to walk in it, ugh! The wind is the part I hate the most...if it weren't so windy it wouldn't be half as bad! -- Mary, 13:36:53 03/02/03 Sun

I gotta turn my grad school application in today (wish me luck!) then I gotta do some cleaning, RAing and schooling. So, that's what I'm doin' this weekend. (NT) -- Lindsey, 11:36:08 02/28/03 Fri

- At this point in my life, Abi has had a huge positive impact on it. She has made me see the potential I have and that I can be who I want to be. She never judges me for anything and she has just really opened my eyes to a lot of things. (NT) -- Lindsey, 02:59:56 02/22/03 Sat
- I would have to answer My grandmother (Nanny)...she has always known when i needed her, even when i didn't call..she always just knew. My son..he keeps me young, and reminds how beautiful and alive the world can be, even when it feels like its suffocating you. (NT) -- tiggs, 23:48:39 02/22/03 Sat
- First of all....OMG, I can't even live up to that responsibilty you just gave me Lindz! I love you though and thank you so much! But, my mom and Eve are tied for the biggest impact on my life. They are both AMAZING women that have done things to change the world around them, from the smallest to the biggest. To be a mom in general is simply amazing to me, and that makes good ol' Norm my favorite person ever. And Eve has helped more women than imaginable-she is education our girls and THAT is amazing in itself (NT) -- Abi, 01:46:07 02/24/03 Mon
- I don't know if I could pinpoint one person that has been the biggest positive influence. There are so many people I have met along the way that have taught me lessons. With every new person you learn something new. My mother has been a huge one, my family too, all of my friends, and I don't know...I can't say just one person. I'm just glad that I have been as lucky as I have been to have so many positive impacts on my life & I'm glad I have learned from all the negative ones! -- Mary, 01:52:45 02/24/03 Mon

I decided to take a bit of control and throw out a question of the day. I thought maybe Lindsey needed a break thinking of good questions...and this question just popped into my head.

- I kinda have two favorites, but I'll pick my most favorite, which is baked spaghetti and texas toast garlic bread! MMMMM!! I love it! Although Mom isn't the biggest fan of spaghetti, she still cooks it for me almost once every time I'm home. It's good stuff!! :) -- Layknee, 15:47:54 02/19/03 Wed
- Mine would have to be pork chops, cheesy taters, and corn. Yummmm! I hate it when mom calls me and tells me she's cooking it without me. :( (NT) -- Lindsey, 17:54:54 02/19/03 Wed
- Umm, I'll have to go with chicken n dumplings with mashed potatoes. My mom always complains when I used to ask her to make it for me cause she hates her dumplings but I love them. :D (NT) -- Jeni, 19:42:44 02/19/03 Wed

- Question of the Day! -- Lindsey, 09:49:09 02/20/03 Thu (NoHost/139.102.139.222)
First of all, I wanted to share this with all of you:
184 days, 7 hours, 46 minutes and 53 seconds smoke free.
3686 cigarettes not smoked.
$736.00 and 28 days, 3 hours of your life saved
Today is my 6 month anniversary since I quit smoking on August 20! Yay!!!
In honor of that, here is the question for today:
Question: Have any of you kicked a bad habit in the past, and if not, do you guys have a habit you want to kick? If so, what?
P.S. For those of you who are still smoking and want to quit...go to: www.quitnet.com. This place is what saved me from myself. My screen name is lindseynm8, so add me if you want.
Have a wonderful Thursday! :)

- First of all, way to go on the not smoking for 6 months! As far as bad habits go, my main one is biting my nails. I quit about 4 years ago. But as soon as I started to plan my wedding, I started up again, only to quit the month before so my nails would look half decent. After the wedding, I started up again. =( (NT) -- Marcie., 12:36:18 02/20/03 Thu
- WTG! I knew you could do it :) My 3 bad habits I have managed to kick within the past few months, they are: smoking, biting my nails and drinking caffeine. I would like to kick the habit of putting myself down .. I'm getting better but I still need some work. -- Jody, 13:32:19 02/20/03 Thu
- I don't know that this really counts as a bad habit, but I stopped drinking regular pop and now all i drink is diet mt. dew. Eventually I would like to not drink any pop. We'll see if that happens. -- Layknee, 22:34:56 02/20/03 Thu
- No major bad habits...I bite my fingernails, I've quit a couple of times, but I just start biting again :) -- Mary, 00:14:23 02/21/03 Fri
