Looks like the work of the new PR firm.

I don’t believe that D.A. Hoovler or the Channel 12 News “presenter” accused the city of not reporting the crime statistics as required by law. What they did say is that in an attempt to clean up the city’s image, that Mr. Venning had gagged the City staff and that he was not issuing press releases about crimes being committed in the city, nor would he return calls regarding crimes that had been committed.
