Subject: Corinth Headquarters Guard Duties

Danny,
I just had a few questines about what exactly will our duties and responsibilities be as the Headquarters Guard at Corinth? Will we be Police or Provost Guards, Generals Guards, Grand Guards and Pickets or Advanced and Rear Guards? Will we be performing Guard Mount per the Regulations? Will we be setting up a Guard Post with an Officer of the Day or some other big bug making Grand Rounds? Will we be setting up outposts with pickets? What manuals, procedures, or formations should we be studying up on in order to prepare for this event?

I guess what I'm getting at is that several of us in the CHAPS were wanting to get some information about just what our duties and responsibilities will be for Corinth so that we can prepare accordingly. There is nothing more frustrating than showing up for an event and finding out that you know nothing of what you are expected to perform. It would make us look amaturish and sloppy at best. Remember the "9 P's"? "Piss poor planning promotes poor performance by pretty peturbed participants."

Also, one of the guys asked me this last weekend if we had put out a list of acceptable kit for this event. I thought we had put it out somewhere, but I can't remember where. Would you mind posting that here?
Thanks for your help, I look forward to serving with you again.

Cpl. Charles Mathis
