• Correction kabagyan, Miss Somera is baket Agus. She's my teacher also in kinder in 1951. Socorro was the former Miss Dacio, sister of the late tang Jose Dacio & nang Cion Dacio Lofradez. I can recognize one of the guys, a classmate of manang Rose Ulpindo, my apid. That's mang Berong from Del Pilar the husband of mang Juling Orallo. Of course... it's Nang Agus Somera in that little classroom in the groundfloor of the convent right by Mother Godelieb's infirmary... that puts me in her kindergarten class of 1947. Help me remember... your older brother Lito is my younger brother Raymond's contemporary. This would make you contemporaries with my Sister Willie of South San Francisco. Time certainly has dimmed my memory and as the late Tang Abelardo would say poetically, "Nakari-ingngak kalpasan iti nargaan unay nga ridep ket diak metten malasin tay disso nga naggapuak." Your grandfather, the late tang Graciano is a 2nd cousin of my father, Guillermo Valencia from the Lardizabal.       • Tang Imong and my late father were good friends as well. They hung out with Tang Vaciong, Mayor Badong, Dr. Galvez, Tang Tanting Somera, Tang Estong Visque, Atty. Marianing Mina, Tang Avelino Ringor, Tang Poroy Dulay, Atty. Jose Dacio, Tang Berto Lamorena, Atty Samson, Tang Andring Lim - whether it was at the cockfights, at poker, or billiards - yes they all came to our house in Farola at one time or another. I remember Nang Felicing your Mom, always with that sunshiny personality that complemented her good looks, always smartly dressed, her hair nicely coiffed - with you guys in tow. I remember borrowing your older brother Lito's "Classics" comic books courtesy of Raymond my younger brother. I remember your uncle Tang Abelardo coming to my Grandmother's store for a sip of basi. I would serve him a glass or two and he would recite a couple of lines that he had written. He and my late uncle Dr. Felicisimo were good friends. Those were halcyon days. Glad you remember.
