The sudden impact of a hoof upon her slick pelt was unquestionably a surprise. She rotated madness in her pitch optics directed at the chestnut femme. Alright now missie, we let you get away with butting in unwanted and unneeded but that was a bit to much. Instinct forced Firelight's powerful inky feathers to unfold from her side and beat the ground. She had won them in a quest perhaps she should use them now to her advantage. Roxie had attacked her in a way unfair to her eyes fine, let's give a little back. The pinions pulled back and sent a wave of sand towards the face of the earth-tinted demoness. The wings of the bay immediately disappeared from her side as she launched her fores at Roxie's poll and or chest and shoulders.
If she could manage a blow on her skull woohoo, if not such is life. A hit on either shoulder could manage a nice bruise as she had now on her left shoulder. But Firelight had been charging past so the blow hadn't been able to catch anything merely hit and slide off partially due to the water carving paths down her overcoat. Hitting the chest muscles would be definitely good causing it harder to breathe possibly, and moving her fore-joints about. Meanwhile Firelight's own trachea remained well covered and her auds forced roughly back.
No matter what her frontal rocks had done she dropped and pivoted hoping to avoid Roxie's defense. Hind limbs thrashed out at where the chocolate fem would have stood not really aiming for anything in particular. Once all four hooves hit the ground she shot off turned and with a menacing grin looked for the mare. However she was quite willing to leave and finish Hex, but whatever a fight was a fight.
