  • Knock, Knock!!! The smell in here is terrible. I think we must have a dead body, so I'll call in the CSI team and Det. Brass. -- Postrider, ::waving:: "Hello" and best wishes to his ol' buddy, DJEGirl!, 18:27:05 01/28/09 Wed [2]
Hmm, no Sara; no Warrick, poor soul; No Grissom (out looking for bugs, but found Sara, instead...)...guess we'll just have to call in Catherine and Nick to find out what died in here!

Oh, I've solved the case. This is what happens when DJEGirl gets engaged. Well, I think this one has a HAPPY ending!!!

It the ep where a movie star dies in his hotel room and a cab driver is shot dead. They added a couple of people to their crew. There´s the guy who used to work the lab (right?) and the a blonde. Let me tell you, it felt a little crowed! LOL Very little of Nick and Warwick(sp?). Catherine looks very Madonna-like with that haircut! It was a good ep, all in all.

  • Did you see that?! The long, beautiful look exchanged between Grissom and Sara last night singlehandedly made up for the rather bland season we've had (save for these last two weeks). Just for your info. . .

Right now, CBS.com has both parts of A Bullet Runs Through It available to watch for free on the CSI website. I'm not sure how long they will be up, so if you would like to take advantage and watch those episodes again, nows your chance.

Also new episode tonight: Rashorama Solving the case of a weathly defense attorney at her son's wedding is compromised when all the evidence from the case is stolen along with Nick's car.

  • Poppin' Pills after that one -- Double E, 14:19:46 04/15/06 Sat [3]
Um, last nights episode Poppin' Tags was. . .interesting? That's probably the best word I can use without labeling it Worst Episode Evar. I guess it was supposed to be a complete mockery of the stupid things artists in the rap industry could possibly kill over, but I feel like the writers were just trying to come up with the craziest situation possible and didn't think it all the way through. I'm not a big fan of rap music or the industry, but that felt insulting. I dunno.

Travis Barker (Blink 182 fame) and his wife were probably the worst guest spots ever on CSI to date. I'm really glad Travis didn't speak that much. At least his wife is supposed to be a trained actress.

Method Man rocked. Nuff said on him.

Warrick was awesome. He saw through that kids bluff and kicked his butt. woot.

Um, overall, probably the worst episode I can remember viewing in a long time. It had it's moments, individual one -liners by Brass that rocked: “Cheap, fast and open 24-7. Just like my ex-wife.” That was funny.

But yeah, I wasn't too happy with this one overall.

  • It's been rather quiet here lately! -- Double E, 21:49:39 04/06/06 Thu [3]
Guess we're all busy. I know I haven't had time to comment on the last three episodes? I guess it's been about three since PoTTR and the infamous final scene between Grissom and Lady H.

Just for a quick comment on the past few. . .

Up in Smoke was interesting. I think I liked the fact that Sara and Catherine worked really well together and for most of the episode. I'm a sucker for those episodes where the women of the show kick butt. The last bit with Catherine and the victim's father was touching.

I Like To Watch was so tongue-in-cheek and I loved the episode for it. I heard some people weren't too happy with it, but I enjoyed it immensely. Grissom's line about there being too many crime shows on television was the best of the show. Hodges was classic as usual, getting pretty for the camera and setting up a situation for his 15-seconds of fame. lol. Although, poor Jim at the end. Those camera people were quite annoying, but I think that's what the writers wanted us to feel. Really annoyed with them.

The Unusual Suspect was my favorite out of the last four. Yep, there's been four since PoTTR. I can count. . .anyways, I really didn't know who the killer was till the end. Sara's face at finally realizing she had been tricked by the girl was heartbreaking. :( Don't worry Sara, she got me too.

And finally, this episode. I found it refreshing to see Greg, Warrick and Gris working this one. I dunno, it might be just me but you don't usually see those three working together in such a great capacity.

And finally, finally...I'm shamelessly promoting myself here. *drum roll* DJEgirl, I've made some videos! I know you ask on occasion and I finally got Movie Maker to act right, plus I got another program to do other stuff. Here's the page for CSI music vids. http://www.boredcollegestudent.com/fanfiction/csievid.html

So, any other comments on the last batch of episodes?

  • Last night's ep was great, IMHO. I enjoyed seeing the hour from the different perspective - definitely put a new twist on things. However, I'm now dreading next week's return of the infamous Lady Heather. I've despised her since she first appeared three years ago, and to this day, have no clue what attraction Griss sees/saw in her. *sigh* I know that Carol Mendelsohn (exec. producer) has been working extensively and diligently to get her back on the show, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. For now, I'll sit here and think happy Grissom/Sara thoughts and replay shipper scenes in my head. La la la, I'm in my happy place... -- DJEgirl, 09:32:53 02/03/06 Fri [6]

I liked it for the most part. The issue surrounding Hypertrichosis was probably what kept me tuned in the whole time. For what I didn't like: the Sara and Sophia interaction. It was okay in A Bullet Runs Through It, but now Sophia looks petty. And Sara was pretty passive during the whole exchange, if I may say so.

I guess I understand that maybe the writers are still trying to find the Sophia character. Especially after she truly believed she had killed another officer a few episodes ago. I might believe that she's still bitter and unsure of herself after that incident, maybe.

When the techies barged into autopsy to take pics of the 'wolfman'. It really seemed out of character for Archie, Hodges and Techie number three...but again, I guess I understand why the writers threw it in there. It showed the other side. The natural curiosity of humans and their fascination with the abnormal. *sigh* Even after all that rationalization, I still didn't like the scene.

Another Sophia thing...when she's on the air longer than Nick, Warrick or Brass...you know the show has too many characters to follow in the span of an hour. I don't hate Sophia, but she is a secondary character. And while Brass is not a CSI, he's in the opening credits. I wish I had seen more of him.

    What did you think?

What an ending. I was watching it through tears. I did think she was going to slap Brass instead of giving him a hug and telling him it wasn't his fault. I was ticked when his boss sat down and told him that he thought it was a bad shoot. That was as bad as slapping him in the face. I enjoyed watching how they were able to use the evidence to little by little piece together what happened. I was also glad that Gris was able to confirm who had shot the kid and give the father an answer. Over all a great show.

  • Last Night's Episode -- DJEgirl, 18:30:43 11/04/05 Fri [4]
I liked it! I initially thought it was a little odd how they were focusing so strongly on the biological grandmother's doting over her daughter, but of course, I eventually realized why they did it. They never add those details without a reason. The flashback sequence was heartbreaking.

It's great to have Grissom back, and I thoroughly enjoyed the B plot. Loved the triumphant expression on Gil's face as he exited the courtroom after nailing the crooked entomologist (and, of course, the suit he was wearing made my entire evening!). "I'm fine, thanks." Boy, are you ever! *grin*

I liked it! I always enjoy the episodes most when there is only one case; I find the plot much easier to follow, and I prefer the team working together.

Nick wasn't the only one a little intimidated by Buffy. I was a wee bit nervous myself looking at those teeth, LOL.

I figured either the daughter or the grandfather was in on it, but the fact that the dad knew about it took me by surprise. Still, the paternal instince is a powerful thing, and I don't blame him for trying to take her place... though legally wrong, it's a natural reaction.

Still looking forward to meeting Warrick's wife. Spoilers are saying that she'll appear a little later in the season. Next week looks a little hokey, but the "spacey" eps usually prove to be humorous. Now, if only I could convince Griss to get rid of that dadgummed awful straw hat!!

  • Bodies in Motion -- julie, 00:09:34 09/24/05 Sat [2]

I'm so glad the new season is Finally here!! Wasn't this summer just the longest? I've a few comments, observations, and questions about the season premiere. Now, keep in mind, I've only watched the show just the one time, nor can I rewatch it. I had a major fight with my VCR right before the show. After wrestling with the thing for what seemed like forever, the end result was that not only is my VCR completely mangled – dead is more like it, but I also lost my copy of Grave Danger that was still in the VCR from last spring. Anyway, I digress, lol. My thoughts, in no particular order, lol ...

First, What is up with that straw hat?????
But, goodness, that backwards ballcap … how adorable! lolol

It was good to see the team 'back together' – though, did Catherine get a demotion? What's the deal there? And speaking of Catherine, I was a bit sad for her. Yes, having dreams and hopes dashed does just suck. Big time. Couldn't have said it better myself, lol. I applaud her, though, I thought she handled the whole thing pretty well. Ok, there was that one jab … but you’ve gotta give a girl at least one sarcastic remark, lol. jmho.

Sophia. Now, explain something to me. Last year she was a CSI, and now she's a detective???????? Huh?? Ok, I didn't buy that explanation on the show, but nevertheless, I'll accept it, move on, if I must. I think she could be an interesting addition to the show, kindof mix things up a little, especially where Griss is concerned. I guess. I figure this is the main reason she's back. We'll see. She irritates me at times.. I'll probably be wishing her gone next week, lol. If she's there just as another detective, then please, go away. We have Brass, and that other guy – whatever his name is – show them instead. Please.

Nick. Ok. First, that white shirt. Jeans. Hot. Hot, hot, hot. This guy still has issues, and who wouldn't. It will be interesting to see how they play out this year. I hope he is getting some help, they didn't mention anything along those lines. And then, that second voice on the tape ... hmmm. And keeping that a secret from Nick. I can't decide if that's a good thing, or not. I think I would want to know.

"Flying car, that's what we're going with?...okay." funny!

Sarah and Greg – Sarah seemed rather at ease, confident. And, though in a way I miss the whacky lab Greg, I like how they have developed his character. He's a pretty good-thinking CSI, but still brings humor. I thought he and Sarah worked really well together. But, really, that one scene? ewwwwww is right! I just had to LOLOL, though, when he showed up in the next shot, wearing that face mask – helmet thingy. lolol

That sassy police officer ... is he to be a recurring character? Let's hope not, lol. Please make him go away. Was he the same officer who screwed up in Grave Danger? Hmm.

Oh! Almost forgot – LOVED the new opening credits!!!

I thought the storylines were ok – kept me involved for the most part. Could have used a bit more science, but hey, there was a lot going on, so maybe next time. One thing .. there are classes to learn how to pole dance??? Who knew, lololol!

Ok, that's my 2 cents worth, lol. Can't wait until next week, or for the rest of the season! Should be exciting, there are so many possibilities, it will be interesting to see how things play out.

Oh wait, a few more things, lol ..
Gil and Catherine … ok, so was this kissing Postrider is teasing us with - was that just playing around on the set? Me thinks Postrider is a wee bit jealous of gil, lol.
That article from TV Guide? Ok, now I’m jealous! LOL!

I liked it! I wasn't sure if I would, since I knew it would include very few of the usual cast, but I did.

I noticed right away that they had a new gal playing Ellie. I wonder why they swapped actresses... perhaps the original one wasn't available. Not sure. Personally, I liked the first one better, but the second girl did well. Took a little while to get used to her brown hair.

We got a new sheriff already? The one with the mustache didn't stick around long. Odd.

I really enjoyed the female detective (I forget her name). I didn't suspect that she and Jim had had an affair, so that came as a bit of a surprise. They just seemed more like an "old friends from way back" pair to me. I liked her style and her no-nonsense attitude, and also the fact that she still had a heart underneath all that armor.

I thought TPTB would give us a happy ending, but they didn't. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Ellie... I just hope she stays alive until then. I'd hate to see Brass suffer any more than he already has.

Next week's episode looks good. One of those creep-you-out type eps, but good character interaction.

Call me dense but I just dont see the "shippyness" between Grissom and Sarah anymore....especially last night. (ducking for cover) -- jagglebelle : ), 16:36:06 10/29/04 Fri [12]

  • Love the new pic, but the other ones from that episode are even better with Cath and Gil! -- Rita, 22:25:33 11/07/04 Sun [2]

  • With the exception of the maggots...I liked last nights epi. I guess I always like Gris/Cath lead shows. I did think Catherine was a bit "bit#$y" with Sara at the microscope though, what was that all about? Is she trying to "use her seniority"? What did everyone else think... -- jagglebelle : ), 11:15:08 11/05/04 Fri [6]

... I liked it! Could've used a little more explanation at the end, but hey, they got the killers. Good enough for me.

Greg's autopsy "de-flowering" was hysterical... the looks he traded with Grissom were classic. Awesome acting by both Billy and Eric. I needed the laugh!

Although I already knew about the "napping" guy in the sewer, I still jumped a foot or two. Griss making Cath and Warrick walk through the tunnels all night was funny and a little mean at the same time. Personally, I loved it.

If you ask me, that Warrick/Catherine moment was a little... how do I put this... un-called for? What's the point of it? If TPTB are shooting for more UST, why not just turn up the heat under the G/S burner (yeah, I know I'm biased, but don't you see my point?)?

I really enjoyed the suspense/action in this ep... so many times, the hour is filled with the crime scene and the lab, and frankly not much else. We got a large variety tonight, and I liked the frenzy surrounding the bombs and explosives - really captured my attention even more than usual.

You didn't really expect me to make a post without having a Grissom/Sara paragraph, did you? Didn't think so. Of course, I loved the "I'm concerned" scene... it was intimate in a touching way. His eyes held genuine care when he said it, and Sara had a very cute smile on her face as she looked at him afterward. Also thoroughly enjoyed his specifically naming her when he was calling everybody out of the house... his body language showed that he meant business. I was hoping for a dramatic slo-mo of both of them running out of the house together, and at just the right moment, the building would explode behind them as they dove for the ground with his arm around her. (Yes, I'm pathetic... proud of it, too.) Oh, well, hopefully next time.

All in all, nicely done episode. Really looking forward to next week's, especially after the last clip in the preview. A case concerning a child, and as expected, Grissom doesn't look happy about it. Oughta be good.

    What did you all think?

  • Hmmm....should I be an informed voter ....or be an informed and entertained CSI fan???? Maybe I could watch part of the debate and then watch CSI! (or I could skip the debate all together!) -- jagglebelle : ) feelin goofy today...., 09:51:51 09/30/04 Thu [6]
