I am sorry if you took it as if i understand Touch more than league. I used to referee league myself but i have since stopped. My brother referees touch and from what i have seen i believe the idea is worth exploring. It seems to work extremely well and i believe that as long as it is used properly, it would only benefit the game.

You obviously have never seen a game of premier league touch if you thing that it would take time for the referees to adjust to the game. They interchange every chance they get, without the need for the game to stop, this means that no momentum is lost at all, and the referee doesn't miss a beat. As i said before, if the system is used correctly, it would work.

As for a touch judge not having a flag, i do agree with you matt. I don't want to see that day either, but perhaps that's a trade-off that must be made. There are other options there though.
