If ever there was a case of a referee completely throwing out the window any semblence of applying correct protocal towards the ideal that the referress decison is final. Look no further back to the Raiders v Cowboys on 23 June.

Tony has an abbismal day in this match primary due to hisn lost control big time when it came to the subject of players running rough over him querying (in a not so respectful way) the reason for the penalties

On numerous occassion players (PARTICULARY ONE JOHNATAN THURSTON) were simply way WAy out of line making aggresive and threatening approches to Tony De Las Has. Ive never seen a player in my life (Thurston) spend so much time making a total jack ass of himself by agrressively harrassing the referee and heatedly arging just about every penalty that went against his side. TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT FOR THE ROLE OF THE OFFICAL.

The question now begs why was Tony so weak on this issue , sin bins were definitely appropriate , as were marching the penalty 10 more metres downfield. Not once were theses options utilised. Shame on you. Letting players carry on like that showing complete disrespect from the role of the referee send one of the most appalling messaging to footy at gras roots level.

Weak referring as seen in the match described above is irrespoonsible as it simply passes on the problem to the following weekend game as the players in question will see that they got away with itv with Tony so the same may apply to which ever ref has them in the following round.

Wise up NRF refs and start ensuring that players dont carry on like animals showing scant respect for the roloe of the official.

Start using the sin bin regulary .... make it common place to march 10 metres even at the smallest sign of dispute. The message will eventually get across.

Its just a shame and ridiculos that the current rules only allow a marching of 10 metres... I agree with the original post on this form ,, increase the regulation to allow a player marched for showing dissent by 10 metres to something more substantional - 40 metres would certinly mzke a world of difference.

End of rant
