They are the party that kisses the a$$ of big business at the expense of the little guy. Not to say there should be no reform against frivolous lawsuits, of course there should. But when people are truly injured, there should be no caps except set by the jury.

We wouldn't have the problem of frivolous lawsuits if judges would throw out stupid cases and let the real ones go forward. And also if people would quit settling stupid cases and fight them. But judges punish REAL victims by throwing out judgements that were won fair and square. Backwards thinking. In the McDonald's case, when the judge reduced the judgement by about 90%, I had no problem with that because the woman brought a lot of that on herself. But not this kid in this case, he was just trying to be born and the hospital allowed him to suffocate in his mother's womb; it appears, thus ruining his life permanently. $30 million is just to me, some of that amount may have been punitive damages so the hospital will NOT do this again!
