>Again, great advice. You should write a book!

I have. LOL. Just not one on parenting! And I've got the baby/toddler stages just about down (though my son loves proving that wrong!), but this whole almost-a-teen business with my daughter! EEP! Frightening, I tell you.

>You spoil your son, do you? :D

Oh, of course not. I've never spoiled either of my kids... ahem... *glances at stack of toys in corner of the living room*... I guess I try to make up for the lack of father-figures in my kids lives with toys. Just as long as they work for them! Like if Gabe doesn't throw a tantrum when he doesn't get what he wants, or if Audie does all her chores without needing to be reminded.

>Why were you running about New York without a cold in
>Feb?

Having an episode. ;) Kidding, I was running out to get my daughter a few new supplies for her history project when I ran into someone unexpected.

>Working, fixing up the house, threatening my kid
>sister's boyfriend. :P

Kid sister's boyfriend, eah? What's your sister's name? What's the problem with her boyfriend? Or are we just being a good, overprotective big brother? :) And I mean that in a good way, doll. I've got two of them, myself. Overprotective big brothers, I mean.

>lol! Persistent, aren't you?

Oh, honey. I have not yet begun to persist!

>Yes, I lived there for about a year when I was about
>19. I did that whole "rebel young adult" thing where
>you flee your parents and abandon your culture (or, in
>America culture, lack thereof) and adopt something
>completely different. I loved it, I found it
>fascinating.

Ah, of course. I did that same thing, only I was a few years older and running away from... well, can't recall exactly what I was running from at that point (I'm a big runner, you see.), but I ended up living on Oxford street. Right in the heart of London! I loved it there, Christ, it was the greatest place in the world. That's where my daughter was born.

>I especially loved that you could say what you wanted
>there, you know? You didn't have to watch your mouth
>constantly to make sure you weren't offending someone.
>/End rant.

Not anymore, dear, not anymore! They are becoming just as PC there as they are here. Tsk, tsk.

>I've also been to Germany and Ireland, but that was a
>very long time ago.

Ireland, really? Brilliant! I attended University there. It's where I met Gabe's dad, too.

>How about you?

I've been all over. I was a travel columnist for a lot of years, and a travel show host for a few before that ended recently. I've been all over Europe, Asia, into Africa a few times, and the Caribbean.

>It's usually not boring, but it's so...frustrating
>when you're onto something, and then you stop dead.
>It's the waiting that I hate, when there's literally
>nothing productive you can do.

Im sure you can come up with something. Write a novel! CSI in book form. ;)
