Is an interesting article well worth a read. It demonstrates how lop sided the funding for clubs are and the lunacy about how it's allocated.
"While last season's champion club Llanelli are due to receive £1,174,876 from money distributed by the Welsh Rugby Union, bottom club Caerphilly will bank less than half that - £529,904"
"The WRU leaves the clubs themselves to decide on how funds are divided and The Steelmen lost their summer boardroom arguments, almost with bankrupting effects."
"But, unlike in England, the central-fund money available to clubs is not divided equally."
"The Scottish and Irish Rugby Unions also fund their professional province and district teams on an equitable basis.
But Wales stands alone among the Home Unions in ensuring there is not a level financial playing field from which clubs operate."
Llanelli £1,174,876
Newport £1,019,876
Neath £1,00,550
Cardiff £1,014,992
Swansea £962,434
Pontypridd £827,232
Bridgend £691,438
Ebbw Vale £634,787
Caerphilly £529,904
