Just like to congratulate the team on the first half display on Saturday. High intensity, error free rugby with great handling skills. All 15 did well but have to pick out Byron (such class), Hawker in the centre and Mark Jones who was inspirational. Vintage Pooler rugby all the way !!!
Second half did go off the boil a bit but fair play to Whitland they did compete to the final whistle.

Glad to see we took the early penalties this time to get points on the board. I hope we improve a little each game and importantly keep winning. Discipline was a lot better than with the Bonymaen game.

Any news on the injured players ???? with Aberavon coming soon be good to see some key players back.

Also any advances with the Merchandise section ?? Are we getting the traditional hooped shirts in for sale ?

Tredegar here we come !!!!!!!

Quite agree with your thoughts on the game Stu, though the test will come on the 21st with Aberavons' visit to The Park.
P.S did you find that otter?!

Yes, I eventually retrieved the otter which had been collected by the Motorway Maintenance people, I went out after you phoned but it had gone. Thanks for the call, Gav.

Anyway, back to rugby. Looks a decent team out tomorrow - should do the job but Tredegar will lift their game against us. Let's hope there's a good Pooler crowd to cheer the lads on.

I agree very much with your considered analysis. It was easy to feel a bit let down by the second half performance but in the first half we were quite outstanding. Bear in mind that it takes a lot of skill to put together the classy display of the first half no matter what the oppositon. The class player as you say is Byron and we will miss him tomorrow though on current form we should win. We need to start piling up the tries now and not leave it like last year to an end of year race.

My views are based on the assumption that the WRU will not get away with trying to reopen the debate at this stage a on the size of the Premier ! No comparable organization would have the gall to behave like this and the writer of the letter canvassing views should be asked by what authority he is acting in this way.
