The Bish was good, but Edwards was the greatest

Sorry Ted, I don't agree. They were both equally fantastic in most regards (running, tackling, etc.) but Edwards couldn't win games with his kicking like the Bish could.

In any case, I'm a biased Pooler fan!

[> [> [> Subject: The difference between Bish and Gareth Edwards was that Bish was a great club player who had everything but was unfortunately never given a chance to prove himself on the international stage, (Personally I think this was a great mistake), whereas Gareth Edwards was a great international player but never gave as much as Bish at club level. between the two it would be Bish who would get my vote as the greatest of two wonderful scrum-halves. There was no-one could break the first tackle as well as Bish or perform those wonderful one-handed pick-ups at top speed, and Bish was much better at driving and directing a pack of forwards than Gareth.
