I agree with your sentiments but disagree that we'd get better treatment you if we finished second. I don't think that we're flavour of the month with the WRU because Bravon have refused to keep quiet on a number of issues and somehow if we can't score enough tries it'll be pay-back time.
Whatever the outcome of the Dunvant match, one of us has to win the play-off and then start upstaging those people who've decided that they're better than us.

As a comparison the RFU are starting to learn the same tricks.
Rotherham have won the league yet the day before Leeds played Quins in a crunch premiership relegation game they announced that promotion would depend on a review of the ground & facilities. What's the betting that if Quins finish bottom Rotherham (who were in the premiership 2000-01) won't be 'acceptable' and no relegation would happen.
