(He let out a sigh as he looked at Haylie from where he stood by the door, flipping it shut as he shot her a pleading look. This was going to get really ugly before it got better, all he could do was ask for someone upstairs to give him the right words to say.) This is Courtney Abrams.. (He said, shifting away from her when she went to touch his arm, shooting a warning look in her direction as he did.) Courtney, this is Haylie Lambert, my girlfriend. (He said pointedly, as he slunk towards the office and then rapped on the door to get Remy's attention.. maybe he just needed some intel and then he could make her leave.. he didnt need a catfight or to have his newly restored relationship ruined over a girl he didnt care for.) Remy.. guest.. (He called through the door before clearing his throat and straightening himself. He wouldn't let this overwhelm him, it was just a woman.. sure he had slept with her... a lot.. a whole lot.. but that didnt mean he wanted to now, it just meant that he had to figure out how women thought in about thirty seconds so he could tell Haylie about it all without ruining everything.) (He understood the other man's reservations.. he hadn't really presented him with a professional facade for the meeting.. so he decided to take it in stride.) No problem, just get back to me as soon as you can. (He looked over at the door when Kyrian knocked and frowned.) Looks like my other recruit is here.. a bit early, too. (He added as he reached for the doorknob and pulled the door open to lead the way back into the main room.) Courtney, nice to see you again.. (He said warmly, walking over to shake hands with her, covering her hand with both of his as he did. He could feel the tension in Kyrian and it both amused and annoyed him. He looked over at Braden and made the introductions.) Major Nichols, Courtney Abrams.. Courtney, this is Major Braden Nichols.. another new recruit. (She had crossed her arms lightly over her flat stomach as she watched the scene unfold.. it seemed that Kyrian hadn't know that she was coming over.. nor had he told his girlfriend about his past flings. Not that she blamed him, of course.. it was easier to keep hot and heavy pasttimes in the past. She said hello to Haylie, but other than that kept her mouth shut, waiting for Remy to arrive so that she could get her papers and get out.. she had better things to be doing than worrying about her past lover's lovelives. When Remy appeared to greet her, she couldn't help the way her eyes wandered over his well built frame.. she had tried several times to get him into bed.. but he had always been so distant and attached to some ghost of a teenage sweetheart. Sad, really.. considering what a fine man he was. And then there was the hunk of beautiful cowboy behind him.. she arched a fine brow as she took Braden in, her intelligent eyes scanning over him and searching his face, appreciation evident in her gaze as she offered her hand to him.) Pleasure... (She said in a demure voice that made Kyrian grunt and roll his eyes.)
