(He had been so pleased to find her sleeping peacefully that he hadn't bothered to wake her, but had simply carried her inside and laid her among the blankets in their room. He had sat beside her for a long moment, simply looking at her and running his hands over her hair and her arms before his cell phone had started ringing. Now he was pacing in the living room, wearing just his black work slacks and combat boots, his dark hair mused and dark with dried sweat. He had found the bullet buried in his vest and stripped the heavy garment and his shirt to reveal the colorful bruise behind the area which could have been death for him had he neglected to wear it. He was speaking with two of the intel agents on speaker phone and was just wrapping up the phone call with them, outlining his orders and giving them the information on how the rescue had gone from his end.)

She had woken up when his cell phone rang but had spent a good amount of time just laying on the bed, her hand running over her swollen stomach absently before she finally stood up and headed into the bathroom that was joined to their room. She wanted to be with him, to talk to him, but she desperately needed to feel clean again. Hence the reason she took a quick, hot shower and then changed into a pair of lounging pants and a big t-shirt. She had a few bruises here and there, on her wrists and ankles where she had been bound but mostly she was alright, just a little underweight. She would have to go to the doctors soon to have the baby checked out, she was hoping that he was just stressed out and quiet like she was. Once that was all taken care of, she padded out into the living room, pausing to lean against the door frame as she just watched him pace and talk on the phone. (NT) -- Shay, 13:03:40 03/17/06 Fri

- "Better now..cleaner." She smiled a little, more then willing to slip her small frame into his embrace. The smile almost felt foreign on her lips, it had been so long since she had that expression gracing her face. "Missed you." She stated honestly, pressing a kiss to his jaw lightly, her brow furrowed as she shifted to wrap her arms around his waist, tucking her head beneath his chin as she let out a low breath and cleared her throat a little, it was still a bit sore but at least her eyes had adjusted to the lights again. (He let out a low breath as she tucked in close to him, feeling the swell of her stomach was something he had dreamed of and had begun to think he would never see or feel.) He thought about Haylie and Kyr and how they should be married now, living in the apartment with them.) A lot has changed since you were taken, Shay.. She frowned a little at that, thinking it over for a moment before she pursed her lips. "At least him and Haylie are talking..I guess." She shrugged her little shoulders gently before she exhaled slowly, her eyes drifting shut a little even as she rested against the broad, solid form of her husband. "I love you too..." She yawned a little, nuzzling her cheek against his chest. She really had known he would come for her evantually and while it had been scary being locked up and away from home, the men hadn't bothered her any, the only time she had seen anyone was when they were dropping off food or water or something. (As usual, his muscles shifted from her touch, his skin sensitive to the feel of her fingers. As a result of his latest mission he was in peak physical condition, every muscle taut and strong, and because of his doctor's warnings he had stopped his usual trianing regiment so he had a softer appeal to him.. less ripped but just as dangerously strong. He smiled when she yawned and brushed his lips over her hair, content to hold her forever like he was.) Are you hungry? I can order something up and we can relax together for a while.. (He had put relaxing second on his list of things to do after finding Shay.. the first of which was to find a way to never leave her side again.. but his promotion had taken care of that for him.)
