Just as he wasn't likely to doubt Angus again, she wasn't likely to ever underestimate the man. She sorely would have liked to know how the bastard had picked her out of the crowd. She gave a low and throaty chuckle to his response, appreciating his wit as she always had. Rum was tasted, and and relished for the warmth it put in her belly. Little care was given to taint upon goblet or contents, that one thing she did not have to worry about, and so she could fully appreciate the pirate's rum he had shared. The cowled head upon the bent figure cocked to one angle, as if sending a small reproach his way for the depth of the query. She would answer though, and truthfully enough, for her mood was light today.
"Och, Morley, thee are too serious now. Worry naught, my friend. I come for no real purpose other than a place to rest upon my travels. Should I not seek such here?"
That cocked head straightened, and the goblet was lifted to half disappear in shadow as she again let the heat of the rum spread.
"I am not on my way to Rhy'Din. To be honest, I travel back and forth between Aldonia and Phyrexia these days. As I am welcomed in both places, it only seemed fit to stop here, and seek thee out. ..As for this mask..."
Her canes tip caught the hem of the rough and dirty cloth that skirted her, and that lusty chuckle rippled from her throat again.
"Tis my favorite of costumes. Dost thee like it? I dare say that most stay out of my way when I adorn it, and tis always fun to play with my friends."
She silenced a moment, and then went on, as if unsatisfied with what was left unsaid.
"I do consider thee one."
Here her voice softened a subtle notch, and then she silenced a moment before she spoke with more genuine feeling.
"To prove it, I will abide by what 'ere thee wish. I will leave the city this moment, and never return, or I will stay for a day at thine behest."
Cowled head dipped in respectful if not brief obedience.
"I would nae care nor dare to show thine authority here anything but respect."
Her head lifted, and he might guess, for he could not see, that the black eyes were full of mischievious glitter.
"though I would love to dabble a bit in any trouble thee might have."
