I don't have a suggestion. I don't know if there is one. Guns and drugs are in Dracut now. I have seen two drug deals..one in my neighborhood and one just recently at the Pizza Parlor next to the Tae Kwon Do where I take my kids on Lakeview ave. I watch parent after parent drop their kids off and leave them there to "hang out" in the mall. Once the parent takes off, you can see the kids all waiting for them to go out of site and then go about their business. Then, they go off to their "party spot", girls and boys, down at the school. They must be telling the parents they are going out for pizza, and the parents are just leaving them off without checking to see. We watch this every week, and I have witnessed it every night that we are there.

My question is, since there are parties going on with kids from the neighborhood, where are the parents that "are in charge" of these children? And, why is it continuing to go on, when it is well known?

I like Mike and DUH's idea. Count me in. Just make sure there is a fire, because I hate the cold.

I know everyone is fast in blaming the police, and I don't know if they are responding or not for I don't live there. I do know that we have the same issue up here on the lake since the new managers took over the private area of Long Pond where we go off of Richardson. They are partying well into the night, you can hear breaking beer bottles, and see the piles of them the next morning. No one is saying a word, and obviously, the parents in the area can hear it..some might be their kids? Where are the parents?

Maybe it is time to have these kids arrested, and let each parent have to pick them up at the station that night. Hell, my Mother use to go door to door when a kid in our neighborhood caused trouble, and tell the parents! It wasn't pleasant, especially if you knew my Mother!

Once again, I am not just sticking up for the Police, but it seems to me that the parents of these kids are more to blame for allowing this to continue night after night.

As for guns...this is the time when things need to be taken care of, and right away. It has now gone past the point of "innocent" teenage behavior of partying, to possible death.
