In the 1970's when I was in second grade. I remember my religion teacher Sister Theodora, showing us how to baptize a baby in an emergency because she said that all unbaptized people go to limbo and will never see heaven.
I don't know if it was on EWTN stating that the church no longers says that there is a limbo. I was just curious. I always thought that it was a cruel teaching of the church. Even as a second grader. I remember raising my hand and telling Sister that I didn't agree and that I didn't believe in limbo. She walked over to me and slapped me. Told me I was never to question what the church teaches if I wanted to go to heaven!

I goofed. This was supposed to go here.

"never had a doctrine on limbo, more of a kind of theological hypothesis to answer some troubling questions"
