I'm standing on the platform at 207th Street Manhattan. There are TWO A trains in the station. It's the end of the line. I look at the destination signs on BOTH of the trains and they BOTH are bound for "Inwood 207th Street"! Another day I'm standing on the same platform. I'm waiting for a train to Far Rockaway. I look at the destination sign on the train in the station. This time, the train is going to someplace called "Last Stop". I know we're not dealing with the brightest bits of humanity when we have to deal with the MTA. But I happen to know that changing the destination signs is only a matter of pushing a button. So what's the problem here? Lazy? Stupid? I need to know which train I'm getting on before I get on the damned thing. I don't want the train to Lefferts. I don't want to have to get off the train at Rockaway Blvd. and stand there waiting for 2 or 3 trains to pass me by while I wait for the ONE to Far Rockaway. I've sent a complaint to the MTA via their web site. But I get no response. And... the trouble STILL exists! Are they stupid? Are they morons? Or is it that they think this is some kind of joke? In any event, if they can't do the job they're getting paid to do, then they don't need to be getting paid at all!
